He is unafraid and steadfast in his Christian beliefs and how they apply to the way America should be led…and it’s quite frankly, pissing Liberals off.
"If we awaken and energize the body of Christ- if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values- we will win and we will turn the country around," Cruz told volunteers on a conference call Tuesday.
"We're working to have a lead pastor in each of the 99 counties in Iowa, 99 pastors are organizing other pastors," Cruz said. "We're doing the same thing in South Carolina, organizing pastors in 46 counties to motivate and organize other pastors."
Cruz warned that, as the election nears, the attacks on his campaign will become more vicious."I want to tell everyone to get ready, strap on the full armor of God, get ready for the attacks that are coming," he warned. "Come the month of January we ain't seen nothing yet."
Cruz predicts that the nomination will come by the end of the March and said that his campaign is now in a "90-day sprint to win this nomination.""There is a very good possibility that the Republican primary will be decided by the end of March," he told them.
USA needs to reverse the course we’re on, stop the corrupt liberal-rot and return to our founding fathers plan for this country. THIS is what we know! Is Cruz the man to do it?
Evidently he’s not much of a ‘Bible thumper’ as someone said earlier he’s not out there invoking God on the Senate floor. I feel like (only from what little I’ve seen so far) that he has very strong groundings in his Christian and refers to that at appropriate times being wise as a serpent but harmless as a dove.
Indeed. I would go further and say that Cruz does not appear to have a religion—at least in the sense that a religion is a phenomenon that encourages people to be nice and cooperate with one another. Rather, what he has is better characterized as a mass movement. The book that best describes the phenomenon he has wrapped himself up in is not The Bible, but Eric Hoffer's The True Believer.
He is asking his volunteers to speak to fellow believers about a fellow believer running for office.
Everyone does that. Just depends on what it is you believe. I truly think this being uncomfortable with outspoken faith is because it is hardly ever heard anymore.
Speak out! Our nation was founded on speaking out about the God of the Bible and His love shown in His law. It is HIS laws that our nation was built upon. Should it not be taught in our schools, shouted in the U.N., shown in our actions and laws. Stop all the things God hates and then and only then will He be able to bless America. He can’t bless a nation that does things He hates. All of His promises have conditions.
That was then, this is now. The battle for souls has intensified. Our nation is in a crisis of epic and eternal proportion.
It was auto-correct, but it’s my fault for not using manual-correct. :)
Sometimes you just get tired of being *always* on guard against the next sneaky, sly move auto-correct has up its electronic sleeve.
:)
Cursed auto-correct!
Now that is a book to start the New Year with. Thank you for the introduction.
I was unaware that Jesus could be “made” to do anything.
Which leads one to wonder why you're enamored of a liberal sleaze who got up on stage and waved a Bible around as a prop.
The "desired result"
In other words, Trump supporters, especially liberal trolls like this one, fully recognized Trump's Bible-waving as the cynical ploy for votes that it was.
Heidi was raised a Seventh Day Adventist.
Seventh Day Adventist Officil StatementsThe Dangers of Climate Change
..."The world membership of the Seventh-day Adventist Church requests that the governments concerned take steps necessary to avert the danger": ...
..."The ecological crisis is rooted in humankind's greed and refusal to practice good and faithful stewardship within the divine boundaries of creation. "...
Ban on Sales of Assault Weapons to Civilians
..." In addition, with public safety and the value of human life in mind, the sale of automatic or semi-automatic assault weapons should be strictly controlled. "...
“That was then, this is now. The battle for souls has intensified.”
The battle for souls is not fought via politics. And the crisis of our nation is that it has turned from God, and it will NOT return to Him via voting. It will return to Him, if at all, via revival and the moving of the Holy Spirit. Not voting for Cruz. Or Trump. Or Huckabee, or anyone else.
I’ll be voting Republican this election, but I won’t be counting on my vote to win a battle for souls.
I think religion and politics don’t mix well.

Jesus surrounded Himself and employed 12 deeply flawed men. He only sought after those who showed hard work and ability, no matter the flaws.
Both?
Dominion Theology is a theocratic ideology that seeks to implement a nation governed by conservative Christians ruling over the rest of society based on their understanding of biblical law. Dominion Theology is related to theonomy, though it does not necessarily advocate Mosaic law as the basis of government.
