Liberals Hate THIS! CRUZ To Volunteers: We Can Win ‘If We Awaken And Energize The Body Of Christ

He is unafraid and steadfast in his Christian beliefs and how they apply to the way America should be led…and it’s quite frankly, pissing Liberals off.

nra leadership forum

"If we awaken and energize the body of Christ- if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values- we will win and we will turn the country around," Cruz told volunteers on a conference call Tuesday.

"We're working to have a lead pastor in each of the 99 counties in Iowa, 99 pastors are organizing other pastors," Cruz said. "We're doing the same thing in South Carolina, organizing pastors in 46 counties to motivate and organize other pastors."
Cruz warned that, as the election nears, the attacks on his campaign will become more vicious.

"I want to tell everyone to get ready, strap on the full armor of God, get ready for the attacks that are coming," he warned. "Come the month of January we ain't seen nothing yet."
Cruz predicts that the nomination will come by the end of the March and said that his campaign is now in a "90-day sprint to win this nomination."

"There is a very good possibility that the Republican primary will be decided by the end of March," he told them.

USA needs to reverse the course we’re on, stop the corrupt liberal-rot and return to our founding fathers plan for this country. THIS is what we know! Is Cruz the man to do it?

I don’t like what Cruz said, and I’m a Baptist. But the Body of Christ - the real Christians in America - are NOT even close to being a majority. He’s making this pitch in Iowa, but I’ll bet we won’t hear any such talk in more secular states.

There were more Christians in America in 1980 than in 2016, but Reagan didn’t win because he pushed “the body of Christ” to vote. He won because his policies made more sense and his personality was superior to his Southern Baptist opponent.

I see it as shameless pandering.

For some reason you Cruz clowns take a holier than thou attitude.

The truth is you're too stupid to realize Trump can do the same thing to get the desired result. But I don't think he'd stoop that low

Senate speech vs campaign speech. PLUS this was to his volunteers. Was he speaking on the phone to you? I got the email but too late for the call. Are you afraid of us? Don’t be.

Fear not for I bring you tidings of great joy. There will be peace on earth because Jesus will rule the world. Of course all of His enemies are eliminated (they kill each other).

Now, as for Cruz, where did he give his first campaign speech? Did you watch? I did.

I’m really tired of the “anti-Cruz” or “anti-Trump” assumptions. Has it ever occurred to supporters of either that MAYBE people have honest disagreements with specific policies or positions?

Cruz borrowed the words “strapping on the full armor of God” from Paul.

Paul wrote those words to prepare Christians for the attacks that the satan will make against them she serving Jesus.

Cruz doesn’t use those word to serve Jesus.

Cruz saud those words to his staffers and volunteers to serve not Jesus, but to serve his candidacy.

He did

We need a Christian to lead this country. It is this time or we are finished as a Christian country. Cruz has offered to serve this country with his belief
In a risen Christ. While we don’t all think alike, we all should believe that light is better than darkness.

Congratulations on missing Cruz’s point, which given your screen name, is a bit of a surprise.

Energizing the Body of Christ will lead to government which honors God. Ted Cruz has never claimed to supercede God in anything.

There's a school of thought in Christianity that says that "taking the Lord's name in vain" refers not to cussing, but rather to things like claiming that you are "God's candidate."

Ok, so I just want someone to provide explanations/examples specific examples of why they are against Cruz...specific.

What specific examples do you think show him not serving Jesus? I’m just gathering information.
Trying not to listen to gossip.

Show us where Cruz said let’s do this for Jesus and not for him.

I don’t know. I am fine with religion but am not really comfortable with this kind of statement. It transforms Cruz’s campaign into a religious crusade...I think religion and politics don’t mix well. I like a secular leader with strong moral underpinnings, and am not so comfortable with someone implying the body of Christ will lift him up.

I have to wonder since through the ages so many have used the trappings of religion to attain wealth and power. To me making a big show of your sanctity is a red flag that you make be utilizing a religious mantle to energize people to whom religion is a powerful force. Not only am I uncomfortable with Cruz trying to gild his campaign with the banner of Christ’s sacrifice I think it may alienate a large number of people who are more reserved about religious talk. He may pull out the religious right and lose the center and the independents.

“Crusade 1.lead or take part in an energetic and organized campaign concerning a social, political, or religious issue.”

Cruz talking like that does nothing for me. I'm an Iowan and about 90% sure I was going to go caucus for Cruz. I like Cruz because I think he is the most libertarian candidate that has a shot.

Statements like this strike me as an out and out pander to the evangelical crowd. It just seems like politician speech. Maybe I'm jaded by political stuff, but it just strikes me as weird.

My other ponders in the caucus are Rand and Trump, fwiw.

Cruz is asking his volunteers of faith to talk to others of faith. Many people in the US believe in God. Less believe in Christ as their savior, but I bet a majority of the people on the phone with whom he was speaking are his brothers and sisters in Christ and it is about time they can get out and campaign for someone who has a similar viewpoint of the Founding Fathers. Read some of their writings at the National Archives online and weep. I did. I also got a crush on General George Washington. I can’t wait to meet him.

He’s a good man and probably a good Christian. But he’s made some bad decisions for America after being elected to make correct decisions. (I know; everyone running has made bad decisions.) Can we trust him to not sell out again, to not say, “I trusted McConnell”, etc.?

It seems that bringing God into his campaign is some last-ditch effort for credibility. Having grown up surrounded by relatives and acquaintances in the ministry, and knowing how they behave when no one is watching, I’m skeptical. We aren’t a mega Pastor Search Committee and we aren’t hiring a preacher. We’re electing someone bold enough to turn around the mess created by Obama, Clinton and Bushes.

The best we can do is pray for God’s will to be done in November, and hope that He hasn’t abandoned America yet.

For now... go Trump!

Look at the title of the article. Cruz didn’t say “Jesus can win if we awaken and energize the Body of Christ.”

There is no other purpose to awaken and energize the body of Christ. It should be for Jesus and Jesus alone.

Not for some political movement.

When a candidate pushes his Christianity, I’m always reminded of Jimmy Carter. Is it any wonder it turns me off?

Do all things for the glory of God. Especially pulling that little lever or filling in the little dots or touching that screen. God is so full of wrath about the worldwide pre-born genocide that we must do all we can to delay its onset.

Of coarse Paul wrote those words. We as Christians quote versus from the bible regularly. God LOVES to hear HIS word spoken.

Very disappointing that you’d besmirch Ted Cruz’s Christian faith like this. I live in Houston. I can tell ya for a fact that Ted Cruz and family are among God’s faithful.

God’s faithful will recognize their own.

But is Cruz asking his volunteers of faith to speak on behalf of Jesus or on behalf of his candidacy?
