In a move to increase visitors by 2020, the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, has invited three of the world’s leading snowboarders to tour his country’s new Masikryong ski resort in January.
Terje Haakonsen, Dan Liedahl—known as “Danimalsâ€â€”and Mike Ravelson will visit the resort at the summit of the 4,460-foot Taehwa Peak near Wonson, a port city on North Korea’s east coast, according to a press release from Uri Tours, a New York-based company that describes itself as “facilitating travel to North Korea.â€
The tour is also open to members of the public, with a single ticket (for seven nights and eight days) between January 9 and 16 costing $2,900.

The state furnished girl tour guides will show them the “action” available in the “mix it up with the locals” in North Korea.
And everyone of these idiots will come back with glowing reports about how great NK is and how well they treat their citizens.
One tripadvisor review guesses that the snow is likely “made with tears”. Others mention terrible food, hour-long lift rides with piped-in PRK anthems, and boring terrain.
I’m stunned these guys would even bother, considering the obvious bad outcomes - from well-deserved bad PR, to the possibility of being detained.
