The Kingston Trio recorded this folk number first, but now the Tokens jumped on board. The band had started out as backup for Neil Sedaka, but after Neil left, the band added and subtracted a few people to find their own voice. Later, they would make a fortune writing and recording commercials.

This was the year that Jack Kennedy (drugs) and Nikita Krushchev (alcohol) almost blew up the world.
