The British government has finally responded to a petition demanding that Donald Trump be banned from the country. Yes, the British government has the authority to ban certain individuals from the country if the people in question could be considered a public danger or a harm to society.
The government petition website requires 10,000 signatures to get a government response and 100,000 signatures to be debated in Parliament. As of today, it has over 500,000 signatures.
The petition was drafted in reaction to Trumpâs call for a Muslim entry ban in the U.S., which plenty of British leadersââincluding Prime Minister David Cameronââstrongly condemned.
Well, today, the government responded, providing the viewpoint of Home Secretary Theresa May. Hereâs the response in full:
For good reasons the Government does not routinely comment on individual immigration and exclusion decisions.
The Home Secretary may exclude a non-European Economic Area national from the UK if she considers their presence in the UK to be non-conducive to the public good.
The Home Secretary has said that coming to the UK is a privilege and not a right and she will continue to use the powers available to prevent from entering the UK those who seek to harm our society and who do not share our basic values.
Exclusion powers are very serious and are not used lightly. The Home Secretary will use these powers when justified and based on all available evidence.
The Prime Minister has made clear that he completely disagrees with Donald Trumpâs remarks. The Home Secretary has said that Donald Trumpâs remarks in relation to Muslims are divisive, unhelpful and wrong.

Are they really that dumb that they do not see the hypocrisy of their statement? LOL. They make the argument for us.
That's why you've let in hundreds of thousands of people who want to murder you.
Isn't this Trump's exact policy proposal?
Choose wisely and remember who has stood beside you through the years (and who heaped contempt on you).
Might send a message about interfering in US political affairs.
And yet Anjem Choudary is living large in the U.K., going on government-sponsored TV and saying things like: British law should be changed so that adulterers are stoned to death, people who insult Muhammad should be killed, Christians should pay the Jizya tax to Muslims and the Charlie Hebdo attacks were justified.
Can’t wait for President Trump.
What one man views as privilege another views as punishment.
Hard to believe at one time the British Empire controlled one quarter of the world.
He owns a golf course im Scotland, correct?
Exactly.
Who wants to go to the uK, anyway?
A couple World Wars ago, they were happy to see us. See us now? We’re the same ones that told you to get snuffed a couple hundred years ago. Play nice.
So, summarizing, the Home Secretary agrees with Trump.
Trump doesn’t seem to forget insults. We don’t need the UK anyway. They don’t pull their way in Nato, and they are dead weight economically.
Trump will for sure find a way for repaying the insult from Londonistan.
Lets see how they do without a friend in the White House.
Go Trump, UP the British Butt.
This could mean the British Isles are now part of the Caliphate and could lead to U.S. airstrikes somewhere in their future.
These are the people that perfected the art of drawing and quartering and allow muslims into their country. Like we are interested in their high brow lectures.
