Rubio: US snooping on allies 'might be worse' than reported

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) says the U.S. government's surveillance of allies "might be worse" than reported.

“I actually think it might be worse than what some people might think, but this is an issue that we’ll keep a close eye on," said Rubio, who sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, in an interview on Fox News's “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday.

Rubio was discussing a Wall Street Journal article that said the U.S. continues to spy on the communications of allied nations' leaders, capturing communications between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his aides during the Iran nuclear talks.

The report also said that the surveillance swept up communications involving lawmakers.

The Republican presidential contender raised concerns about the government monitoring Israel.

Rarely has such hypocrisy been demonstrated by a member of Congress, and the Intelligence Committee not less.

He knew and approved of this activity. He knows what has been discovered. How it's been used.

And his biggest concern is that we are tapping Israel. Not that the executive branch is listening in on Congress in their official, and sometimes private, communications.

Bizarro world. This man can never get close to the white hut.

Yes. And what would it take for him to get a House member to submit an article of impeachment? Nothing. So will he do do? Heck no.

If he doesn’t think allies are snooping on us...he’s plain ignorant.

0bama and gang are trying to eliminate the Congressional support and money supporting Israel.

Then they will come after Israel.

But he’s not a moslem. His gang are not moslems/dhimmis. Nah.

That Egyptian, Gheit, was telling the truth.

Yep. Spy versus spy (think Mad magazine). Only thing that has changed over the ages are the tools (technology) of the trade.

The worst part is, little Marco is MORE concerned about our governments spying on allies than he is about our government spying on us citizens!

Apparently, in Marco’s version of the Constitution, the bill of rights applies to foreign governments, rather than “we the people”.

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/waters-obama-campaign-database-has-information-about-everything-every-individual";

Obama probably has enough dirt on every member of Congress to seal their lips forever. Too bad someone can’t hack it, expose it and get it over with. Then maybe this nation could put itself back together by throwing them all out and starting with a clean slate. Oh, I know, wishful thinking.

We spy on them, and they spy on us.

Everyone knows it but will not admit it.

Yeah, that's bad enough.

But he didn't even voice concern over the reported fact that the White House wanted to CONTENT of the conversations with US Lawmakers.

"We spy on them, and they spy on us."

Of course it's done universally.

But the WH wanted the content of the conversations with US Lawmakers.

Is that also no big deal?

Dondi esta soplando el humo de su culo!

Everybody snoops on everybody else, the security of your country first and foremost outways that of your allies.

Obama under pressure as report reveals the NSA spied on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu...and members of Congress

NSA reportedly spied on Benjamin Netanyahu during Iran nuclear talks

Information was gathered to undermine his opposition to the deal

Spying agency also monitored his discussions with members of Congress

The White House said: ‘We are not going to comment on any specific alleged intelligence activities’

‘We do not conduct any foreign intelligence surveillance activities unless there is a specific and validated national security purpose,’ it said

Accusations of spying could prove damaging - Obama has already confronted multiple surveillance controversies
