A college professor has taken to the New York Times to implore "white America" to go to "war" with itself over its alleged racism. Professor George Yancy of Emory University published "Dear White America" as a "gift" for white people. His challenge: "White America, are you prepared to be at war with yourself, your white identity, your white power, your white privilege?" Yancy, a black professor, told Times readers Dec. 24 that, just as he considers himself sexist, all white people should admit to possessing latent racism. "I can see your anger. I can see that this letter is being misunderstood. This letter is not asking you to feel bad about yourself, to wallow in guilt. That is too easy. Iâm asking for you to tarry, to linger, with the ways in which you perpetuate a racist society, the ways in which you are racist," said Yancy.
"I am asking you to enter into battle with your white self. I'm asking that you open yourself up; to speak to, to admit to, the racist poison that is inside of you. [...] As you reap comfort from being white, we suffer for being black and people of color. But your comfort is linked to our pain and suffering."
The "Pursuing Trayvon Martin" author goes on to say that asking about black-on-black violence is tantamount to rejecting his "gift." "Some of your white brothers and sisters have made this leap. The legal scholar Stephanie M. Wildman, has written, 'I simply believe that no matter how hard I work at not being racist, I still am. Because part of racism is systemic, I benefit from the privilege that I am struggling to see.' Not all of the newspaper's readers were willing to accept Yancy's "gift."

Go suck an egg, Yancy. I will not apologize for who I am.
Hey, where’s Ward Churchill?
God made me as I am. I owe no one an apology.
I think Americans and Europeans have a very different outlook on servitude. Europe's population was always subservient to the whims of their Aristocracy. Ours never was.
We have not played "Cowboys and Trouble makers" yet.
“Professor George Yancy of Emory University published ‘Dear White America’ as a ‘gift’ for white people. His challenge; ‘White America, are you prepared to be at war with yourself, your white identity, your white power, your white privilege?’ Yancy, a black professor”
No, Yancy, I’m not. To the contrary, I have a “gift” for you: I am prepared to be at peace with my “white self”, my “white identity”, my “white power”, and my “white privilege”. In fact, I will celebrate them. My second “gift” to you is to challenge you to drop the race hustling, get the chip off your shoulder, and get a real job.
No, but I am just about ready to go to war with you and your racist ilk, b!tch (the “professor”).
As for what may happen in response? He'd better worry. All those who are pushing this narrative should take a deep breath, pause, and take a step back. Because if they keep pushing...push...push...push....
I can guarantee they're going to get a push back. And they will not like it. Like the true fools that they are, they mistake white tolerance* for weakness.
These "professors," these merchants of hate, are slowly raising the temperature, pushing racism and grievance, until even moderate persons are forced to start thinking in a race-based way. And that's not "normal" for white people. When we're pushed into thinking racially, it never ends well. He should know not to go there.
Personally, I was never raised to think of myself as "white," merely Christian, male, American, etc. Race wasn't part of my conscious identity. But people like him are pushing me into a form of racial self-recognition that stirs some very ugly feelings inside me.
Stir the pot, buddy. You won't like what you concoct.
Sauron
*I believe white societies (there, now even I'm being forced to call them that in response to their jabbing and prodding!) are the most tolerant, because everyone flocks to them, immigrates to them, to live within them. That doesn't happen in other societies. And we're tolerant, welcoming everyone. Which is why our nations are the most mixed nations to be found anywhere.
Well said!
Professor George Yancy
Poster Boy for why many college kids are over-schooled, under-educated, wimpish crybabies.
Read the Truth.
Jhn 8:1
¶
Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
Jhn 8:2
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
Jhn 8:3
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
Jhn 8:4
They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Jhn 8:5
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
Jhn 8:6
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
Jhn 8:7
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Jhn 8:8
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
Jhn 8:9
And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Jhn 8:10
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
Jhn 8:11
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Jhn 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Jhn 8:13
¶
The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
Jhn 8:14
Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
Jhn 8:15
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
Jhn 8:16
And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
Jhn 8:17
It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
Jhn 8:18
I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
Jhn 8:19
Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
Jhn 8:20
These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
Jhn 8:21
¶
Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
Jhn 8:22
Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
Jhn 8:23
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Jhn 8:24
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Jhn 8:25
Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
Jhn 8:26
I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
Jhn 8:27
They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
Jhn 8:28
Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Jhn 8:29
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Jhn 8:30
As he spake these words, many believed on him.
Jhn 8:31
¶
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Jhn 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Jhn 8:33
They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Jhn 8:34
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Jhn 8:35
And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
Jhn 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Jhn 8:37
¶
I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
Jhn 8:38
I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Jhn 8:39
They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
Jhn 8:40
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Jhn 8:41
Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Jhn 8:42
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Jhn 8:43
Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Jhn 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Jhn 8:45
And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Jhn 8:46
Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
Jhn 8:47
He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
Jhn 8:48
¶
Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
Jhn 8:49
Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
Jhn 8:50
And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
Jhn 8:51
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
Jhn 8:52
Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
Jhn 8:53
Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
Jhn 8:54
Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
Jhn 8:55
Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
Jhn 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Jhn 8:57
Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Jhn 8:58
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Jhn 8:59
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

It is completely absurd that members of the least accomplished and most dysfunctional groups lecture the most productive, most inventive, and successful group about how to improve itself.

Go F yourself.
As soon as he said “All” White Americans, he identified himself as an irrational racial bigot.
You called me white.. and then a racist. Look in the mirror.
Another garbage post....

Go to hell you racist bastard.
LOL, I thought it said "phrenology" of race.
Then again, probably as "scientific" and valuable as the rest of his "resume".
He pronounces it re-SUME.
Just in case you want to question his intellectual credentials.
BTW, how does someone get a PhD in these kinds of fields?
Usually you have to DEFEND your thesis to obtain such degrees.
If you are a mathematics PhD candidate, you better come armed with knowledge, because you are going to get grilled into dust by the professorial committee.
I guess with a stupid degree in a stupid subject matter, you just spew nonsense, and the committee simply nods in agreement.
"Here's your sheepskin. We have no questions."
Black libs are doing a very good job at making sure my son’s generation has a resurgence of the KKK.
That's exactly it...white racism, or the lack of it, has absolutely nothing to do with the state American blacks find themselves in.
I'm sure, ike this professor, there's millions of other blacks who firmly believe the heavy boot of Evil Whitey is crushing their dreams and aspirations.
In reality, what white people do does little to affect the lives of 99% of black people. This they, blacks, refuse to acknowledge. They simply can't accept the fact that their own actions cause their misery.
