(Reuters) - A Texas teen, who was a fugitive after allegedly breaking his probation sentence for killing four people while driving drunk, has been arrested in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, CNN reported on Monday, citing officials briefed on the matter.

Ethan Couch, 18, was sentenced to probation about two years ago in juvenile court for intoxication manslaughter and is wanted in Tarrant County, Texas. He and his mother went missing earlier this month.

This was an outrageous decision. It gave a pass to anybody rich to commit crimes. I hope he will experience Mexican prison life - should cure him of his afluenca.

Mexico and the US have had an extradition treaty for years. Why do people not remember that?

Because they’re idiots and know nothing about Mexico. In any case, Puerto Vallarta is inhabited almost entirely by American and European short term visitors, so he and Mom were probably dumb enough to think they’d blend in with the crowd.

What I want to know is of anything ever happened to the judge who let him off with that “defense.” There should have been major outcry about this, but I don’t recall seeing anything except from a few people here.

I don’t know if he can move OR communicate.

His parents should have gotten hit in civil court.

He deserved to get ROCKED in criminal court.

The same judge who gave him probation for killing 4 gave 20 years to a teen for killing one while DWI. The difference was he was poor and could only afford a public defender.

Didn’t think he and mommy were smart enough to stay on the lam in a foreign country. Can’t wait to hear how he got caught - stepping out for a six pack maybe?

He’s better off in jail. With parents like these he’ll become a serial killer.
