Some voters embarrassed to admit supporting Trump
Hearst Newspapers ^ | Friday, December 25, 2015 | Kathleen Parker

The biggest political news is that Donald Trump may be doing even better than polls have suggested. Yikes.

Apparently, many Trump supporters have been fibbing to pollsters, saying they’re for someone else when they really intend to vote for The Donald. And those fudging the most are college-educated voters because, it seems, they’re too embarrassed to admit their preference. As well they should be. I’m kidding. Sort of.

Imagine it this way: Guy on the phone asks whom you prefer for president. You can say, I really like the bragging, eye-rolling, profane, nativist, misogynist, policy-free billionaire-birther “jerk” (Jeb Bush’s word). Or, you can select a more-sensible candidate — and keep your Trump crush to yourself.

Thanks to this treasonous gap — OK, this interesting anomaly — these recent findings by the polling group Morning Consult could shake things up a bit. Notably, Trump’s predicted ceiling of 35 percent to 40 percent, the figure many prognosticators have used to argue against Trump’s becoming the Republican nominee, may be much higher — and his nomination, therefore, more likely.

{Some voters embarrassed to admit supporting Trump}

...as they should be.

Says the GOP Establishment types who were more then willing to support the two most inept political candidates in history- Mitt Romney and John McCain and now want to go for a hat trick by backing Jeb Bush in 2016

It is not even worth the effort to try to have a rational discussion about Republican candidates these days.
People like me (and all my Conservative friends) no longer wish to engage unhinged leftwingers...or even some GOPe folks.
So, we quietly go about our business with a nice smile on our faces.
When the general election comes, we will quietly pull the lever for Donald Trump or Ted Cruz over Hillary Clinton.

California stands a very good chance of going Republican for the first time since Reagan. LINK

After the Political/Media/Business/Academic class heap bile and abuse on the heads of average Americans for decades, we finally found someone who takes it back to these clowns that they cannot buy or ignore.

It time the GOPe bots all sit down, shut up and start listening for a change.

The “silent” in silent majority. MSM barely figures this out.

I predict that Trump will outperform poll numbers by 5-10 percentage points.

Trump supporters are less embarrassed than fearful. The Trump haters on the left are entrenched in positions of power, and Trump supporters know it. We’ve already seen what can happen to those who question global warming junk science.

I reject the straw man argument of it being trump or a GOPe candidate. Ted Cruz is not GOPe. He has a lifelong proven history of conservatism. He has a history of fighting the GOPe, even single handedly, even in a known losing battle solely because he told his constituents that he would do so.

Conversely, Donald trump has been or supported liberals almost all of his adult life. He has by his own words supported numerous items that we vociferously opposed here on FR. He is a boor. He has come down hard on one agenda item, saying he would deport all illegals. ( That has exactly zero chance of ever happening.). He talks like a misogynist, alienating at least some portion of the needed electorate. And mostly, he has DONE nothing in his life that shows that he is guided by a sincerely held conservative belief.

I, and many like me, do not remotely trust him; fully expecting his liberal biases to read their head in short order after he no longer needs to appear conservative. I have never voted for a liberal, I see no reason to start with this one.

I think we all agree with that. Many of just think that a liberal statist with no clue as to constitutional protections or limitations is the one we should rally behind to do so.

Car vandalism is precisely the reason my vehicles are completely unadorned.
I cannot trust emotionally-charged Clinton / Sanders / O'Whatever voters to keep their cool.

The only negative voice I’ve heard is my wife, who now refuses to drive that car.

Divorce her NOW.

Seriously, you know she's gonna cancel your vote out, right?

Free campaign help from Hearst Newspapers and the rest of the media, mainstream and otherwise, with many political folks being none the wiser.
