Pentagon refuses to share intel on ISIS until Moscow’s stance on Assad changes

Washington will not share intelligence data on Islamic State positions in Syria and will not accept Moscow's offer to cooperate on rooting out terrorism until Moscow changes its position on Syrian President Bashar Assad's future, the Pentagon said.

Ever since the start of the Russian campaign in Syria in late September, Moscow has been offering to share information with the US-led coalition against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), urging Washington to reciprocate. After months of extensive diplomatic efforts by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, and the Kremlin, the Pentagon is still refusing to enter the proposed cooperation.

"We are not going to cooperate with Russia on Syria until they change their strategy of supporting Assad and instead focus on ISIL," US Defense Department Spokesperson Lt. Col. Michelle Baldanza told Sputnik on Friday.

The Pentagon, bombed by and beholden to, al Qaeda,
protects al Qaeda more than the American people.

Why are Hasan and his protectors breathing air?

Yes Putin will have to operate with intel from Syria, the Kurds, the KGB, Spetsnaz in the field, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and many others who probably are best not named on this site (NATO and ..... cough cough)

Except now the US will be the ones out of the loop

Not carrying any water for Putin, but the Russkis gave us info on the Boston Marathon Bombers and our vaunted DHS was comatose.

It might just be a good idea to give intel to a guy who knows how to use it.

"If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape
and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy."

who gives a @#$@#$ about this two bit dictator. I know. I’m sure he has had some connection to terrorism.

But unless we want to send a half million men in and reeducate the masses, it will be someone worse.

and I don’t want to send soldiers there.

Putin is going to have some fun with that pussy slap to the face. I doubt if he would trust any intel coming from this administration anyway. We sure don’t.

I know this is “Russia Today”, but if it is accurate, it reveals the true childishness of Hussein.

So this would make Obama’s regime allies of ISIS and other Muslim terrorists. We already knew this, but now the Pentagon has put it out in the open.

Makes sense. The Russians might misuse the information if they got it and kill the terrorists. The Pentagon wouldn’t want that to happen.

I would expect so, Russia gets along with Israel in numerous intelligence areas.

Yeah.... it’s not tough to see what’s going on. Obammy wants Assad out because he’s not SUNI. Obammy and the Saudi’s created ISIS to get rid of SHIA governments in largely Suni areas. Obammy keeps them in weapons. Obammy convinced the Saudi’s to flood the oil market to hurt Russia’s economy, and the evil fossil fuel companies in America. There’s just no way the administration can own up to any of it... so they have lie after lie trying to come up with something that will keep them out of trouble, and keep their party in the whitehouse.

Plus, now any time some civilians get killed in an inaccurate airstrike, Russia can say “well if only the Pentagon had given us more exact coordinates, this tragedy could have been avoided.”

make Obama look like the petulant one

Russia is engaged with WW2 ROE: kill the enemy everywhere (enemy = anyone in Syria opposed to Assad) until the enemy capitulates and surrenders, collateral damage and civilian casualties accepted.

It looks like the Russians intend to exterminate Daesh. Isis should not have blown up that Russian plane in Egypt and shot down via Turkey that Russian fighter plane. It may be that Russia even strikes Turkey and Saudi targets to keep them from militarily supporting the Turkey/Saudi/US proxy Isis. The US sponsored “moderate” islamists terrorists alliance is already in full retreat behind the skirts of UN brokered cease-fire attempts.

The Russians are going to spend a long time patiently eradicating and getting rid of any entrenched armed islamist resistance. Just like Russia eliminated its opponents in Georgia. Or Crimea. Or Donbas. Or Chechnya. Iran, Syria, and Russia have a long established axis of cooperation that will definitely eliminate these insurgency elements. Six more months, no more Isis.

No to mention Obama has now put boots on the ground, our very own elite and precious special ops forces

So why would obama not want to share intel with the Russians fighting in the entire country with their massive weaponry and fighting in close contact with the 200,00 man Syrian Army and tens of thousands of Iranians?

Wouldn't sharing our intel help everyone kill Daesh 7th century brutes and move to the next stage of political reformation?

And perhaps avoid killing US advisors who have been illegally inserted into Syria.. With no status of forces protection whatsoever

How do petulant acts by this mentally 14 yr old potus make the parents and families of US forces feel?
All warm and fuzzy?

There are stupid people, and then there are REALLY stupid people, those that are running our government...from the Rainbow Hut to the seats in the Senate and House and to every committee person around...

I cannot believe how dumb this must sound to other foreign leaders....these stupid people that we have elected and re-elected are such an embarrassment for America....

It's not any wonder we are laughed at, and poked fun at...just look at the disgrace this once fine Nation has become, and for what?
