It was the Detroit News headline "Trump goes after Ford Motor Co." not how long Hillary went overtime in the restroom that got our attention. Donald Trump made a whistle stop outside Grand Rapids, Michigan to take aim at Ford’s plans to expand production in Mexico. Trump promised if elected he would threaten manufacturers with big tariffs on imports to discourage building manufacturing plants south of the border.
Trump to Ford, "If you build that plant in Mexico, I’m going to charge you 35 percent on every car, truck part that you send into our country," he said. "Every single one." Trump went further saying he would engage in tough negotiations with car companies to build new plants in the US and Michigan. Political analysts say Trump’s proposal would at the very minimum require congressional approval and possibly violate NAFTA.

Wow aren't you the pro-corporate tax liberal. lol Your graphs don't agree, is it 13.4% or twenty-some percent?
You posted that earlier.
Now..now..now...Don’t be posting the obvious. ;)
Whenever I drive somewhere, I look for smokestacks. I can count on one hand any I see now.
IN the 1940’s the USA managed to create enough industrial out put to supply two friendly empires with weapons and also make enough for us to take down 2 hostile empires. So you idea that there are not enough Americans(320M and rising) to make all of our junk is utterly preposterous, If not laughable.
Just to copy and paste an earlier post. lol
How many times you been told, that's part of the sham. Kill the competition in USA. They know the game well.
You're either part of the profits regardless of consequences crowd, or ya simply got conned by sultans of sham in D.C.
When Donald Trump brings his foreign business home, I’ll take him seriously.
Some of the comments on this thread have left my head spinning. Tell me again what site this is???
We all want our country to be strong and great again. But not at the expense of what we stand for.
Yes, there are liberals in business. We don't become liberals to fight them, we rebuke them.
Middle America got economically gang banged, while those in in D.C. and their well connected fatcorps and Wall Street insiders made enormous historic profits. This is no secret.
At this level of corruption, brought to us by backdoor D.C. country killing corrupt policies, the results were easily predicable.
So you don't want corporations to have profits? Are you sure you're on the right site?

“Yes, there are liberals in business”.

So all the folks who threw Middle America down the stairs are simply liberals? Or does D.C./Corporate power/greed have anything to do with it?
By the way, you don’t think Republicans are in on this?
I want corporations that manufacture to make as much money as possible as long as they employ their fellow Americans in the process. I am tired of subsidizing corporations with my income taxes so they can get away with murder.
Okay, you say that corporate profits are bad for "Middle America". If "Middle America" has these corporations as employers, how is corporate profits screwing "Middle America"?

I was alive during WW 2, and I can remember the rationing and shortages that were necessary in order to meet the demands of war production. People constantly were griping about the situation, even though I guess most folks basically understood the rationale for their hardships.
In any case, if that’s the kind of economy you really want, I’ve gotta marvel at your naivete.
I don't know what you're talking about. In on what? Profits?
Bull shit. You sound like Hillary and others who are owned by corrupt Wall Street, influence peddlers$ and lobbyi$t in D.C.
With a bit of luck, America will choke these corrupt AH’s with their profits.
That's best done by lowering corporate taxes and regulation so they don't have those reasons to offshore.
