Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley invoked the name of Jesus as he decried the plan by the administration to deport hundreds of illegal alien families.

Democratic presidential hopeful Martin O'Malley says plans to deport hundreds of illegal immigrants in a series of raids are not befitting of the Christmas season.
"A Christmas Refugee Roundup sounds like something [Donald Trump] would concoct," O'Malley tweeted Thursday. "Remember: Jesus was a refugee child who fled death gangs."
O'Malley's comments come hours after reports emerged that the Department of Homeland Security is planning a push to deport hundreds of immigrants from Central America who fled violence in their homelands.

Huh? Jesus fled "death gangs"? Recall that an angel appeared to Joseph when Jesus was an infant to warn him of Herod's decree that all first born male Jewish children would be put to the sword. This was an organized, systematic effort to kill by Herod's soldiers. Where O'Malley came up with the notion of "death gangs" -- the sort of gangs that roam central American countries -- is a mystery.

Herod was an Edomite put in power over the Jewish people by Rome. That’s right an ARAB king was the one who issued the edict to slay all male children under 2 years old in Bethlehem .
Obama needs to deport the hispanics to make room for the “Syrian refugees” he wants the churches to settle in for him. Can’t have the money he is paying to the churches for resettlement to go to non muslims ya know.

I heard the same nonsense during the prayers at Mass on Christmas day. I did NOT respond, “Lord, hear our prayer.” to that intercessory prayer because it is NONSENSE.
Joseph and Mary took the infant Jesus with them to Egypt to escape not death gangs but the soldiers of Herod. They were fleeing the evil Herod who is the patron devil of Planned Parenthood who sent his soldiers to kill every male child under three years old in his “kingdom”.
Herod’s “kingdom” was part of the Roman Empire. The Romans left him on his throne to keep order not to replace the Emperor and not to replace the Roman rulers of the time.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph went from Herod’s “kingdom”, a part of the Roman Empire, to Egypt, also a part of the Roman Empire. They were not refugees. What they did is similar to what my wife and I did six years ago—we fled from Massachusetts to Texas. We are not refugees and Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were not refugees.

They fled to Egypt to avoid the existential threat posed by Herod. It was not against Egyptian law for Jews to enter and leave at will. No passport or visa was necessary.
Their sojourn in Egypt was TEMPORARY! After the death of Herod, they returned to Judea and settled in Nazareth.
In our case, it’s the death gangs that are migrating here!

And Egypt was not far away from Judea ( not across the Ocean or the seas ).
Therefore, the right application would be to create a TEMPORARY protective sanctuary near Syria, destroy ISIS, and then let the refugees return home.
I wonder why very few people even think along these terms...
