In the conversation with the donor, Cruz was asked if gay marriage was a top-three priority for him and he said it wasn't.
In a recording provided to POLITICO, Cruz answers a flat "No" when asked whether fighting gay marriage is a "top-three priority", an answer that pleased his socially moderate hosts but could surprise some of his evangelical backers. By late summer, she said, the River Valley Teenage Republicans were a grassroots advocacy group working to put Cruz over the top.

Great article.
Well, maybe he'll get around to it. He's got another hundred or so issues he needs to flipflop on first.
Barring a Constitutional Amendment on the subject, which is extremely unlikely to succeed at present, there is little that can be done on gay marriage without appointing a Contitutionalist to the SCOTUS to replace one of the older liberal Justices (Breyer, Ginsburg, Kennedy).
To me itâs not a top three issue, but how it was enacted (judicial dictatorship) is. Ditto abortion. Others may feel differently, but thatâs my take.
_____________
Agreed, I put that under freedom.
Other important things are
Constitution
Economy
Then there's Rampant Schlonging.
Others use sites to base posts that are just as bad.
Cruz's approach to gay marriage is very much the conservative/constitutionalist argument where the 10th Amendment and the laboratory of the states matter.
Helicondelta, How many times today are you going to post variations on the same article over and over again?
Cruz us right. The federal government should stay out of the marriage business. As a matter of fact, all governments should stay out of the marriage business. And any church with a true belief in the Words of God, must not perform gay marriages. Let those who commit abominable acts suffer the wages of sin without acknowledgement or tolerance.
Sounds like Cruz is hiding behind the US constitution to protect gay marriage, ( based only on this thread above.)
We all know that Trump promised us an exec order imposing a death penalty on cop killers,
just as he can repeal gay marriage with one.
We just need to believe that Trump will do this even though he never said he would.
Fortunately a Trump-ista Helicondelta pointed this out to us.
Cruz supporters all need to go to Trump. Trump has no limits. He can make anything happen. We just don't know what that anything will be. But who cares? He kick butts.
I accept gay marriage as fait accompli.
I don’t accept the lack of freedom for those who oppose it in regards to freedom of speech, religion.
People should be able to object to participation in it and not lose their jobs because of their views on gay marriage.
to take your post a step further if he say made that issue 1,2 or 3 then the story would be Cruz doesn’t care about one of them enough. Maybe immigration thus boosting the false Rubio claims. Just another gotcha question from a mentally and morally bankrupt media.
Anti Cruz trolls are welcome at FR these days.
I had one post their first post in 11 years to me yesterday to a 7 month old thread.

He or she can set a tone that gay "marriage" is reprehensible and that his administration will set a tone that elevates real marriage as the norm. Nothing in that comment even mentioned normal marriage as society's desired norm.
Ted's makin' promises and giving assurances to elicit donations. This isn't the first time.
This thread isn’t about Donald Trump.
Your answer is much better than the one Cruz gave.
There's alot of that going around. Embedded sleeper trolls and fresh ones coming out of the woodwork. Just another election cycle phenom.
