Christmas, as everyone knows, commemorates the birth of Jesus and is a major religious celebration for Christians around the world.

But what many people don't know is that Jesus is an important figure in Islam, too, even though most Muslims don't celebrate Christmas (though some of us, especially American Muslims, do).

In honor of the holiday, here are six things you may not know about the role of Jesus -- and his mother, Mary -- in Islam: ...

I know one thing: it’s acceptable to lie to the infidel in Islam. Christmas is about the Jesus as represented in the New Testaments which were written when people who knew Jesus were still around. This Jesus said we should love even our enemies, died on a cross and rose on the third day, and who is the son of God.

Mohammad claimed to know better than the eye witness what Jesus was all about. He says Jesus was a Muslim, who did not die on the cross, did not command us to love even our enemies, and he said it was blasphemous idolatry to claim Jesus was the son of God.

I am gonna go with the eye witnesses with this one...and say they ain't the same Jesus...but then no follower of Mohammad has a sword to my throat at the moment, which is really their only way of effective persuasion of people who are not willfully ignorant.

Isn't it curious how secular liberals seem to be rushing to the defense of Islam, a religion that is violently opposed to the libertine lifestyle that liberals advocate.
For the longest time, many of the pseudointellectual liberal elite condescendingly dismissed G-D as a nonexistent "invisible sky daddy". Not to mention how many of them go into a near orgasmic trance when they hear Imagine, especially those lyrics: "...and no religion too/ no hell below us/ above us only sky.." Since 9/11 islam is cool with them? IMHO, I think libs see Islamists as "fellow travelers" The gay hatred, misogyny, animal abuse, etc so prevelant in Islam is, pardon the pun TRUMPED by their common hatred of all things Judeo-Christian and Western. So they seek an unholy alliance of convenience with islam. An alliance based on the flawed assumption that "an enemy of my enemy is my friend. And we all know what happens when we ASS-U-ME.

Taqiyya - Saying something that isn't true.  

Kitman - Lying by omission.  An example would be when Muslim apologists quote only a fragment of verse 5:32 (that if anyone kills "it shall be as if he had killed all mankind") while neglecting to mention that the rest of the verse (and the next) mandate murder in undefined cases of "corruption" and "mischief."   

Though not called Taqiyya by name, Muhammad clearly used deception when he signed a 10-year treaty with the Meccans that allowed him access to their city while he secretly prepared his own forces for a takeover.  The unsuspecting residents were conquered in easy fashion after he broke the treaty two years later.  Some of the people in the city who had trusted him at his word were executed.   

Another example of lying is when Muhammad used deception to trick his personal enemies into letting down their guard and exposing themselves to slaughter by pretending to seek peace.  This happened in the case of Ka'b bin al-Ashraf (as previously noted) and again later against Usayr ibn Zarim, a surviving leader of the Banu Nadir tribe, which had been evicted from their home in Medina by the Muslims.  

At the time, Usayr ibn Zarim was attempting to gather an armed force against the Muslims from among a tribe allied with the Quraish (against which Muhammad had already declared war).  Muhammad's "emissaries" went to ibn Zarim and persuaded him to leave his safe haven on the pretext of meeting with the prophet of Islam in Medina to discuss peace.  Once vulnerable, the leader and his thirty companions were massacred by the Muslims with ease, probably because they were unarmed, having been given a guarantee of safe passage (Ibn Ishaq 981).  

Such was the reputation of Muslims for lying and then killing that even those who "accepted Islam" did not feel entirely safe.  Consider the fate of the Jadhima.  When Muslim "missionaries" approached their tribe, one of the members insisted that they would be slaughtered even though they had already "converted" to Islam to avoid just such a demise.  However, the others believed they could trust the Muslim leader's promise that they would not be harmed if they simply offered no resistance.  (After convincing the skeptic to lay down his arms, the unarmed men of the tribe were quickly tied up and beheaded - Ibn Ishaq 834 & 837).

Mario Joseph is one of the most interesting video's ever in my opinion. he shows if you carefully read the Qur'an it tells you to be a christian.

One of many great points he made. Slave's can't love their master and the master can't love his slaves. This is a given. Why does Muhammad say all followers of Allah are a slave of Allah? This proves Muhammad was a false prophet without any doubt.

He did indeed, many elements and aspects of Islam come from other religions. Then Mo and his successors twisted some, combined them with, re-interpreted & applied them in the Arab, Bedouin cultural & social context, initially in what we today know as Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

The above practices and tradition keep going to date. Islam continues to gain strength because of *outsiders* AND what is ‘unIslamic’.

True, but it also incorporated elements of the local pagan religion, to try and recruit them as well. Allah was considered first among many in the local pagan pantheon (which is why muhammad's uncle had been named after him, before muhammad was born). That is why you will sometimes hear freepers call Allah the Moon God - that was his role for the pagans, before his promotion by muhammad.

The Kaaba, the holiest site in islam which is the focus of the hajj pilgramage, was the main pagan shrine for pilgrimage, which was the biggest business in town before islam.

Salman Rushdie's "Satanic Verses" refers to the time that muhammad revealed as scripture from God, that more of the most popular pagan godesses (Allāt, Uzza, and Manāt) were recognized divine beings, able to intercede with Allah on behalf of supplicants, which a group of potential pagan recruits had been lobbying for. When his long term followers, who had taken lots of heat over the strict monotheism policy threatened to bolt, muhammad reversed himself, saying that the devil had forced him to say those things - hence the term Satanic Verses.

Kosher dietary restrictions became the almost identical Halal requirements (except that you have to say "Allah" when cutting the animals throat). The Christian Lenten Fast became Ramadan Fast. The Christian Liturgy of the Hours became the five requried daily prayers.

The great bulk of islam was cherry picked from the three competing religions, according to whatever would satisfy recruits to swear their oaths to him, and join his command for raiding parties (which grew into armies of conquest).

What is new and unique in islam is uniformly immoral or amoral, and geared totally toward politically supporting muhammad's absolute dictatorship and military conquests. The first and most important pillar of islam (Shahada) is original to islam - it is the oath affirming muhammad's absolute and unquestionable authority as the sole spokesperson for the only god. After accepting that outlandish premise, there can be no logic or reason - only obediance - submission. That is why they enforce it so heavily with the death penalty.
