Sounds to me like, “I want to be considered for an appointment in a Trump Administration!”

Correct...Huck is going after Cruz for whatever reason in Iowa. Huck has no chance of winning, but he’s targeted Cruz for whatever reason.

Huck is sucking up to Trump.

And I do mean sucking.

“And now the pivot to the establishment begins as predicted.”

You’re talking about Cruz and his gay donors, right?

LOL - I guess I’m old school. I don’t recall Ronald Reagan or either of the Bushes out in public often at all and when I did see it they were doing something appropriate - relaxing on the ranch or working.

It just gave the impression that they realized the seriousness of their office.

Cruz who states he actually means to follow his stated principals in office.

Which principals are those? He supports TPA, he doesn't support TPA. He supports the Iran deal, he doesn't support the Iran deal. He supports amnesty, he doesn't support amnesty. He supports huge increases in H1B visas, he doesn't support increases in H1B visas. And this is all in just the last year. Ya, he is one principled conservative alright. I'm finding more and more that the definition of "conservative" is more of a personal preference thing then any party or platform.

He supports TPA, has never wavered on that. He opposes TPP, which is an entirely different thing yet often gets improperly conflated with TPA. Especially by people with an agenda.

Similar issues with your other points. They're all half-truths or misdirections meant to attack the best conservative left in the race (and quite likely the best one to get into the race at all).

I thought he voted against it in the final up or down vote. I must get my news from a different source then you do.

Actual statement by Cruz as opposed to the spin but on it by the Junk Media.

Same questioner: “So would you say it's like a top-three priority for you€”fighting gay marriage?”

Cruz: “No. I would say defending the Constitution is a top priority. And that cuts across the whole spectrum€”whether it's defending [the] First Amendment, defending religious liberty, stopping courts from making public policy issues that are left to the people. ...

“I also think the 10th Amendment of the Constitution cuts across a whole lot of issues and can bring people together. People of New York may well resolve the marriage question differently than the people of Florida or Texas or Ohio. ... That's why we have 50 states€”to allow a diversity of views. And so that is a core commitment.”

It doesn't come any more Conservative. Glad you have a Candide in the race, don't let your loyalty to one candidate lead you into making false accusations at the others.

I think he voted for cloture

Not only did he vote for closure, he led the fight to pass it. The vote for closure was the only one that mattered, the up or down vote was a formality. He has put out about three different excuses for it: Mitch lied to me, My plan is to change TPP after my guaranteed election and the always popular I voted for it to stop it.

The bottom line is that his constituents did not want TPA, the CFG and CoC did want it. After the vote, Cruz is flush with establishment money. But I'm sure it is completely unrelated.

TPA greased the skids for TPP, Obama rightly argued they were connected. TPA got rid of 60 vote rule in the Senate.

It doesn't come any more Conservative.

Those are conservative words, but unfortunately Cruz has a record of his actions not matching his words. What happens when he changes his mind again in amnesty?
