Cruz who states he actually means to follow his stated principals in office.

Which principals are those? He supports TPA, he doesn't support TPA. He supports the Iran deal, he doesn't support the Iran deal. He supports amnesty, he doesn't support amnesty. He supports huge increases in H1B visas, he doesn't support increases in H1B visas. And this is all in just the last year. Ya, he is one principled conservative alright. I'm finding more and more that the definition of "conservative" is more of a personal preference thing then any party or platform.

He supports TPA, has never wavered on that. He opposes TPP, which is an entirely different thing yet often gets improperly conflated with TPA. Especially by people with an agenda.

Similar issues with your other points. They're all half-truths or misdirections meant to attack the best conservative left in the race (and quite likely the best one to get into the race at all).

Actual statement by Cruz as opposed to the spin but on it by the Junk Media.

Same questioner: “So would you say it's like a top-three priority for you€”fighting gay marriage?”

Cruz: “No. I would say defending the Constitution is a top priority. And that cuts across the whole spectrum€”whether it's defending [the] First Amendment, defending religious liberty, stopping courts from making public policy issues that are left to the people. ...

“I also think the 10th Amendment of the Constitution cuts across a whole lot of issues and can bring people together. People of New York may well resolve the marriage question differently than the people of Florida or Texas or Ohio. ... That's why we have 50 states€”to allow a diversity of views. And so that is a core commitment.”

It doesn't come any more Conservative. Glad you have a Candide in the race, don't let your loyalty to one candidate lead you into making false accusations at the others.

And he (says he) believed Mitch McConnell when it isn’t ever rational to believe Mitch McConnell. Probably he used to be a highly principled man but he has become a regular politician. People change for the worst when they hit D.C.; I hope Trump can remain steadfast.
