A frustrated Jeb Bush unloads on Donald Trump

EXCERPT

"They would be a danger for our country. To ban all Muslims coming into the country, it's - it would make it harder to destroy ISIS, which has got to be the first priority," Bush explained. "Insulting the third largest trading partner of the United States, Mexico, not going to work. It's not serious. It's not. ... It turns off a lot of people that are ultimately going to make the decision who the president's going to be."

Bush is particularly dismayed by Trump's expressions of support for Putin. On this issue, Bush again attempted to contrast himself with his rival by thoroughly outlining his policy ideas.

"He's not informed," Bush said of Trump adding, "We have to confront the ambitions of Putin. We have to earn his respect by being a strong presence in the world and that means, for example, that you forward lean with troops stationed today in Germany, into Poland, and the Baltics, that you have joint training exercises in a much more robust way to show that we’re serious, that you build ... a counter cyber security effort and an offensive capability that is second to none."

Trump's kind words for Putin came after he received compliments from the Russian leader. Bush wondered aloud whether he could get Trump to stop mocking him with a similar approach.

"For Donald Trump to be praised and immediately turn to this Putin lover, I think maybe I should just say he's the greatest man alive and see how he responds to that," mused Bush. "It's like this is - this is a man in need of just lots of praise apparently."

More than a few "conservative" talkshow hosts speak this way as well ... though turning it around to attack Trump:

-- "He's not nice when speaking to and about other candidates"
-- "He's not a 'serious' (or 'legitimate') candidate"
-- "He doesn't 'act presidential'"
-- "If nominated, he will assure a Clinton victory"; etc., etc.

I hear this every day from self-described "conservative" talkshow hosts who think we should instead continue to support the lying, compromising, business-as-usual GOPE/RINO candidates who promise -- as they have done for decades now -- to uphold traditional American values, protect our borders, reduce the size of government, etc., etc.

I wish Trump would say out loud to Rove what we all know:

Rove came very close to losing the 2004 election and he should have shut his fat mouth after that.

No.... Jeb, our first priority is building a border fence...

ISIL is fighting half a world away, yet they can walk across the USA border unmolested...

I should hope the VP slot was never an option. Was Trump to select Jebbie as VP, I’d be looking for a third party candidate to vote for.

So who is it that really understands diplomacy here? Trump or the Striped Pants Brigade from Foggy Bottom?

“His brother, George W. Bush, left the White House in early 2009 with a dismal 35 percent approval rating that was largely a result of his decision to invade Iraq.”

Actually, Bush’s DOUBLE CROSSING of conservatives over AMNESTY probably contributed more to that 35% than Iraq. Yes, Republicans were a bit tired of Iraq, and Dems would have hated bush if his middle name was Mother Teresa, but the TOTALLY USELESS fights over Amnesty were draining and depressing to us all...and I will NEVER forgive him for bringing up that damn issue (along with his open borders policies).

I think the media wants us to FORGET that part of Bush, just as they’re trying their damnedest to get us to FORGET Rubio’s LEADERSHIP on that issue...not to mention their outright lying about 9-11 celebrations.

That’s how they do it. They simply ‘forget’ to talk about why we HATE these people, and until now that worked, as we nominated McCain in 2008, even though he was a HORRIBLE REPUBLICAN in his Senate career. But now THINGS ARE DIFFERENT - Trump and Cruz simply will not let the media get away with making us Republicans forget why we hated these assholes in the first place.

Just watched Eric Kantor, a Bush supporter, on Fox. Repeated the “Chaos Candidate” talking point while saying He's angry at Washington, positioning himself as an outsider (LOL!!!).

Blamed his own election loss on open primaries, but very happy now in his new position as vice chairman of Moelis & Company, an investment bank (at a reported compensation of $3.4 million annually).

Yep....a true outsider

“How did we handle World War II? Pretty damn good. In fact, you know, we had a - we had a force that brought stability, created opportunities for the rebuilding of both Japan and Germany in a way that benefitted us and created stability for two generations. It’s different than an occupying force, clearly there’s no interest to do that.”

Funny, he seems to have missed a few steps.
1) WE BOMBED THE CRAP OUT OF THEM FIRST.
2) BROUGHT THEM TO THEIR KNEES.
3) MADE THEM SURRENDER UNCONDITIONALLY.

(and then we did what he refers to)

Is he really THAT DUMB to not know that, along with being a TERRIBLE candidate.

“We have to earn his respect by being a strong presence in the world and that means, for example, that you forward lean with troops stationed today in Germany, into Poland, and the Baltics”

You don’t “earn respect” by turning your troops into CANNON FODDER, you “earn respect” by BUILDING NEW WEAPON SYSTEMS that will scare the daylights out of your opponents.

...but I guess that never occurred to Bush, the ‘serious candidate’ in the race.

Seems as if Jebito is frustrated because his “Shock and Awe” campaign has become a “Shucks and Wah!” campaign.

“...that is second to none.”

Anything wrong with saying FIRST IN THE WORLD?

p.s., I still remember Nixon using that term - it made me SICK 40 years ago and it makes me sick today.
