the University of Louisville placed an ad for a "tenure-track Assistant Professor position" which specified the racial/ethnic makeup of who would be considered eligible. It was removed after appearing for almost two months.

The ad really really does insist that the position is "a tenure-track Assistant Professor position that will be filled by an African American, Hispanic American or Native American Indian."
So where is Tom Perez's Department of Labor? Where is the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission? (All I hear is crickets.) Imagine their, uh, white-hot fury if a "whites and Asians" only ad ever got posted. The reaction from the few in the media who have noticed has been remarkably muted.

They WILL be sued over that. The implication is ‘whites need not apply’. There is no way that’s legal, as communicated in this manner. If this was affirmative action, that’s not the way to publicize or utilize it.
Even though the press may have yawned the ad was still taken down and a screenshot of it saved for evidence in the lawsuit when a minority gets hired with the new ad.

I recently read that “white Americans” are no longer a majority but now a minority. White people get discrimination instead of “affirmative action”?

I noted the ad was for a physics professor. Perhaps it was in the black physics department.
Don’t see a problem with it. Whites and can legally be discriminated against because of their white privilege.

A&M this past year was disgusting in whom they turned down and whom they accepted.

Just like when the government sends minorities out to apply for rental properties, a white applicant backed by a conservative legal group needs to apply for this job and then file suit when they don’t get selected.
So blatantly stupid. It is easy to simply choose applicants after the fact and exclude those who you feel will not “work with the team”. You don’t advertise ahead of time.
Lefties are mighty dumb sometimes.
