A group of Kenyan Muslims travelling on a bus ambushed by Islamist gunmen protected Christian passengers by refusing to be split into groups, according to eyewitnesses.
They told the militants "to kill them together or leave them alone", a local governor told Kenyan media.
At least two people were killed in the attack, near the north-eastern village of El Wak on the Somali border.
The Somali based al-Shabab group says it carried out the attack.

Some Muslims policemen were injured/killed trying to rescue people in the Westgate Mall attack as well IIRC (when the late rescue teams thought they were attackers); I remember an interview with one, and he couldn’t care less what religion the attackers or victims were. A decent man...
Maybe their dislike for Somalis overruled their Religious tendencies.

What divides there is more tribe then religion.

I have my doubts as to how this actually occurred. After all, muzzies are told to lie to the infidels. And what a good opportunity to garner sympathy, rather than hatred. Did any Christian verify this?

Although his Dad has refused to speak to him since the father did not prohibit his mother or sisters from keeping close ties with him and his family. This would be unheard of in most countries.
Kenya looks odd to outsiders until you realize that the tribe or family is everything. Religion, politics, finances all take a back seat to tribe. And they are moving in the direction of the tribe being "Kenya".
It is also the reason they dislike Obama. He does not take care of his family. Disgraceful!
I’ve said many times here there are moderate Muslims, that is, Muslims who only moderately believe in Islam, and are not fundamentalists or fanatics. Many are born into Islam, and just want to live peaceful lives. But there is no moderate Islam. At it’s core it’s a totalitarian, religious and political ideology. The more “devout” they become, the more they inevitably are forced towards jihadism. And nobody ever converts to Islam for good reasons.
The good men will soon be killed for not being Muslim enough
Lots of knife attacks to stop, or at least assist the victim(s). Have ANY Muslim Arabs done anything like this?
If any have, I haven't heard about it; which makes me a bit suspicious about this story.
