Suspicious neighbors and landlords pry into their private lives. Blackmailers hunt for victims on the social media sites they use to meet other men. Police officers routinely stop them to search for incriminating images and chats on their cellphones.

After an anti-gay law went into effect last year, many gay Nigerians say they have been subjected to new levels of harassment, even violence.

They blame the law, the authorities and broad social intolerance for their troubles. But they also blame an unwavering supporter whose commitment to their cause has been unquestioned and overt across Africa: the United States government

The Obama administration has been promoting homosexuality in the U.S. The Obama administration has also been pushing homosexuality in Africa. The results have been a total disaster.

Now even the New York Times, with its own gay agenda, admits Obama has again been a total failure.

“support” is NOT the correct term.

Bribed enforcement is more accurate.

The Obama administration has also been pushing homosexuality in Africa.

Well, this is one of those cases where Obama leads by example.

He's telling his fellow Africans to 'do as I do'.

African homosexuals will be the next group of refugees entering the country.

I’m not certain that our culture is still of our most outstanding achievements to export - especially when people are forced to buy it. What was it that Reagan quoted - “a shining city on a hill”?

When I was in college, we were CONSTANTLY LECTURED by the Obama types now running our government that it was MORALLY WRONG to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.

Back then we were TRYING to fight Communism as the Soviets, Cubans and others were already interfering in these countries - and the people lecturing us, today’s Democrats, simply wanted the Communists to win. Anything that helped that cause was pushed...as we seem here, they OBVIOUSLY never gave a damn about the moral implications of interfering in other countries - they just wanted to win.

That’s why I support Trump - he’s like them - he’ll do what it takes to get the job done, even if it’s a bit ‘messy’.

People with substance abuse issues blame everybody else for their behaviors and the consequences of those behaviors, also.

“That’s why I support Trump - he’s like them - he’ll do what it takes to get the job done, even if it’s a bit ‘messy’.”

I agree. We’ve always tried to fight the left with the arrogance of a superior religious, moral and ethical code.

If we want to win we must fight them on their own terms. Trump is called a jerk. To me that’s a great plus, it means he’s effective. They say he insults. Just what has the left been doing to us for the last 50 or so years? He makes false accusations. Gee, the left has never done that.

It just feels so good someone is doing push back. It’s so good to watch the left, the establishment, the Bush’s and all the other scum squirm for once.

Libs used to always decry ‘cultural imperialism’ when America exported its idealistic views of democracy and capitalism throughout the globe. You don’t hear about that anymore. Not since America’s export of its ‘values’ has now switched to the promotion of homosexuality and moral depravity, courtesy both our government and our culture. We’ve gone from a positive force in the world to a poisonous one. I wouldn’t blame any country, Africa or otherwise, from wanting to keep America at bay as much as possible.

Blowback (pun not intended).

I wonder where the pro-Gay rights libertarians come down on the issue of the U.S. using its influence to force other countries to change their laws.

Then there is this:

"Same-sex relations remain illegal in most nations, the legacy of colonial laws that had been largely forgotten until the West's push to repeal them in recent years."

What a bunch of horsecrap. These leftists always blame the West for everything.

Most primitive cultures view homosexuality as abhorrent behavior. My guess is this attitude was there before the colonialists showed up, and was probably in their pre-colonial legal systems.

"In late 2011, the Obama administration made the promotion of gay rights an integral part of American foreign policy."

This. Not fighting Radical Islam. And NASA is about Muslim outreach, not exploring space.

"Since 2012, USAID has spent more than $700 million on the effort globally ... "

Close to a trillion dollars flushed down the toilet on the "stimulus", $700 million on this ... we really can cut a lot of unneeded spending if we want to.

"One of the founders of Nigeria's gay rights movement, Dorothy Aken'Ova, began organizing in the mid-1990s after living in France, where she saw broad acceptance of gay people. In 2000, she opened the International Center for Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights, which provides services for gay men and lesbians in Minna."

WTF? Reproductive health services for gay men and lesbians? What am I missing? Is this Bizarro World or Earth? The insanity of leftists knows no bounds.

And, for comic relief:

"Aboyani Shoyinka, 27, a fashion blogger who went to the party, said later that pushing 'too fast' and 'too hard' for gay rights can only make things 'bad or worse.'"

Okay then.

"'As time goes on, we will get there,' Mr. Shoyinka said. 'The patient dog eats the fattest bone.'"

You really can't make this up.

"If we want to win we must fight them on their own terms."

I have been saying this for a very long time. The GOP has no idea what they are up against. Defeating your enemy by using their tactics is a time tested proven strategy. It takes courage and patience to accomplish. The GOP is either complicit in advancing the Marxist agenda, or they are fatally incompetent.

Cultural imperialism is right.

We’ve done the same thing pushing abortion in countries that do not accept it. This has harmed women in those societies even while our stupid government thinks it is helping them.

“Gay Rights” is the type of Western Cultural Imperialism that the Left absolutely loves and pursues with gusto.

I read this story elsewhere, $700 million spent since 2012, half of that, $350 million on Sub-Saharan Africa and yes, this is probably the Administration’s doing but doesn’t Congress have to fund this? As if this money could not go to more good. If it has to be done, can’t a million or so do it? No, $350,000,000, despicable and pitiful.
