Thereâs something the chattering classes along the Acela Corridor donât want to say about Donald Trump: Heâs the overwhelming favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination.
For the Republican Partyâs conservative â in more ways than one â establishment, itâs as if admitting that will make it come true. So instead, they squabble over who the ârealâ front-runner is, whether itâs Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz. Perhaps, the parlor wisdom holds, a dark horse like Chris Christie can overtake the field at the New Hampshire turn.
For the first few months, the Trump deniers â loud on national television, insistent on Twitter and ever-present in the nationâs leading print and digital outlets â could be called wishful thinkers. With the primaries just around the corner, as many otherwise smart political analysts keep waiting, aching, for conventional order to be restored, itâs time to call them what they are: delusional.
Trump is leading national polls by more than 20 points in a field with more than a dozen candidates. Nor is this just a Rudy Giuliani-style lead that doesnât translate to state contests....

No, that changed the other day.
I think that the only reason that Christie has eleven percent in New Hampshire is that he showed up there for free Town Halls, not fund raisers.
Sanders also showed up at Town Halls and likely has a good rating in New Hampshire as well.
Yeah, dammit. Now we're voting for reality TV show genius billionaire celebrities with personality! That'll fix America!

Trump’s support is bigger than the polls realize. He’s got his vocal supporters and his “quiet” supporters who are not counted.
He just got an endorsement from one of the leading Conservative orgs.
