Mexico's Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu said the U.S. should âembrace migration as an opportunity,â arguing that migrants are wrongly being portrayed as âsecurity concerns.â
âThese narratives are simply unsustainable and these narratives sell among some audiences due to misinformation about the impact of migration,â Ruiz Massieu said at a Migration Policy Institute event.
She also said it is often easier for people to focus on the costs of migration rather than the âcountless contributionsâ immigrants make to their âcountries of destinationâ such as the United States.
âNow imagine this figure: $11.8 billion. This is the amount of dollars that undocumented immigrants pay to state and local governments in the form of taxes in 2012, and the list goes on,â she said....

Mexico’s Foreign Secretary thinks we should look at people fleeing his country to our’s as ‘opportunities’.
Whats wrong with this picture?
Wait! What?
We should embrace them so Mexico can rid itself of its most worthless people that send part of their welfare payments *to* Mexico.
“$11.8 billion. This is the amount of dollars that undocumented immigrants pay to state and local governments in the form of taxes in 2012”
How many immigrants does Mexico accept annually? They don’t even want their peasants and criminals returned to their country by the US, one of Trumps best selling points.
You are right, thought about the many ways to get around it just as I pressed the post tab.
Sue them? We should have declared war on Mexico by now. This is an ongoing invasion.
It’s as if this is December 20, 1941 and the Japanese are saying, “C’mon, don’t be racists, work with us! Embrace change ...”.
And FDR says, “Yeah, we’re cool with that. Send more Imperial Marines!”
A year later ask this Mexican Tart, how she and her government likes immigrants.
I’ve personally known “terrorists” and heard of many others. I’ve known thousands of Mexicans (legal and illegal). I’ve heard of many more Mexicans.
I’ve never met nor ever heard of a Mexican “terrorist”.. not in the same definition that is used for Islamists and IRA and Bader-Meinhoff and Sri Lanka wackos.
And not in the sense of the PSP Puerto Rican Socialist Party (Luis Gutierrez types, yes Luis is from a terrorist background) or the FALN (Oscar Lopez types).
If you want to understand why..and understand Mexican perspective on politics... get FOR GREATER GLORY on DVD (Andy Garcia, Eva Longoria). That movie accurately depicts the frame of reference for Mexicans.
Of course not. Mexico has basically militarized its southern border...
Mexico never considered their illegal immigrants a security issue, more like cockroaches that they try very hard to exterminate. But it's ok for them because they are not doing it out of racism like the United States, Mexico's motivation is just plain simple hatred.
I beg to differ. OTM’s from Islamic territories.
TRUMP IS RIGHT! The open border crowd keeps telling us that illegal aliens/hispanic immigrant criminals do not commit crimes any more than the native population...take a look at L.A. FBI Most wanted, which is running about 90%!
Phoenix, Az most wanted By DEA.. They wonât tell you if they are illegal aliens, but the birthplace of most of them are MEXICO ...Trump is right! FACTS.

In my little city,800 miles from the border,we had TWO murders last year. BOTH by Mexican ‘immigrants’...both with their tax payer interpreters in court...which is BIG BUSINESS as is all the private owned prison systems who house these aliens.
Rubio, btw, is a BIG recipient of these donations.
FOLLOW THE $$!
“Mexico benefits to the tune of over 100 billion per year sent home, that is not counting tourism and American citizens born in Mexico going home to visit family. Simple, put a tax on all funds sent to Mexico by non-citizen illegal immigrants. That would be enough to finish that wall.”
We also give Mexico millions in foreign aid every year.
“According to ForeignAssistance.gov, Mexico received $265 million in foreign aid in 2013. Guatemala received $84 million, Honduras got $52 million, and El Salvador received $27 million. But other websites argue that U.S. foreign aid totals are higher when military aid is counted.”
