Mexico Foreign Secretary: Immigrants Not 'Security Concerns'
PJ Media ^ | December 18, 2015 | Nicholas Ballasy

Mexico's Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu said the U.S. should “embrace migration as an opportunity,” arguing that migrants are wrongly being portrayed as “security concerns.”

“These narratives are simply unsustainable and these narratives sell among some audiences due to misinformation about the impact of migration,” Ruiz Massieu said at a Migration Policy Institute event.

She also said it is often easier for people to focus on the costs of migration rather than the “countless contributions” immigrants make to their “countries of destination” such as the United States.

“Now imagine this figure: $11.8 billion. This is the amount of dollars that undocumented immigrants pay to state and local governments in the form of taxes in 2012, and the list goes on,” she said....

So is that how Mexico itself considers immigrants to Mexico, from other countries?

(just wondering)

We need to sue Mexico for aiding and abetting this. They need to fund their own citizens then, especially if they are party to it and benefiting from it (money sent back to Mexico).

Can one country sue another? I suppose not. But we need to sanction them then. Something. This is essentially theft and invasion.

Mexico Foreign Secretary: Immigrants Not ‘Security Concerns’...since we just herd them right up north, and out of Mexico.

1. The Mexican SOUTHERN border is tightern tick. The Mexican government wants NO foreigners from south of THEIR border.

2. They give the Mexican people pamphlets [Yes, there is universal literacy there.] on how and where to sneak into the USA. The coyotes--smugglers--are those who are PROBABLY paid by the Mexican government to aid the illegals get into the USA.

3. There would be NO illegals if there weren't a zillion U.S. folks willing to give the illegals jobs. It's a win-win for everyone since the illegals pay no income tax, no retirement, no social security, NADA. The illegals CHEAT with the good wishes of those who want to pay them close to nothing and with NO bennies.

***We get what we pay for.

Then why do Mexican officials et al seem so eager to get them into the US?

Isn’t their “labor contributions” harmful to Mexico? I guess not since they are amongst the biggest cheerleaders of the riff raff into this country

Mexico benefits to the tune of over 100 billion per year sent home, that is not counting tourism and American citizens born in Mexico going home to visit family. Simple, put a tax on all funds sent to Mexico by non-citizen illegal immigrants. That would be enough to finish that wall.

It is a great idea except I am not sure how we would collect. Something must happen.

Then wouldn’t it make sense for Mexico to do everything in her power to keep Mexicans and OTMs from leaving Mexico?

We need to enact the same laws of the countries adjacent to us....Mexico...illegals go to jail...probably same in Canada. Can’t own property (totally) as an American in Mexico. In Canada, can only work 5 years as an expat....

At the point of departure, all institutions seending any check or electronic fund to Mexico must tax the money.

Excellent

Let’s send Mexico all of our meth heads, all crack cocaine addicts, all heroin addicts, and all illegals from south of the boarder

They could send cash and get around everything.

They could send their endorsed U.S. check to a bank in Mexico. I suppose the gov’t could require U.S. banks to withhold a percentage of all U.S. checks cashed in Mexico to block that.

I don’t know. There may be problems with it. Good thinking though. There may be a way.

She said the Mexican government is ready to welcome Syrian refugees but it “seems they are choosing other destinations.”

Why opt for a way station before sneaking across an open border when Obama is eager to settle them inside the tent and much closer to their targets?

Oh, yeah, and mexico is a dung heap only slightly better than their sand box.
