Knowing that Harvard students would be headed home to their families for Christmas and that liberal brainwashing can be undone by common sense, the campus Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion littered the dining halls with placemats meant to combat any truth bombs the students might encounter at home.
The âHoliday Placemat for Social Justiceâ prepped students with questions and answers about four controversial issues they might encounter from friends and family members.
First, the subject of widespread student protests. âWhy are black students complaining? Shouldnât they be happy to be in college?
According to the placemat, the proper answer is: When I hear students expressing their experiences on campus, I donât hear complaining. Instead I hear young people uplifting a situation that I may not experience. If non-black students get the privilege of that safe environment, I believe that same privilege should be given to all students. Right, a âsafe environmentâ free from the nastiest of all possible injuries: a conflicting opinion.
The placemat offers responses for other questions, such as why Harvard students were upset about the title of House Master: Within our cultural and historical context, implying mastery of people feels both inappropriate and ill-founded.
Letting in Syrian refugees could allow terrorists to gain entry into the U.S., your friends might opine. Oh, no, you uneducated fool. We let in Central American refugees without any trouble. âRacial justice includes welcoming Syrian refugees,â warn the Social Warriors.
What about black men being shot by police? Why didnât they just obey the officers?
In many incidents that result in the death of a black body in the street, these victims are not breaking the law and are unarmed. With Tamir Rice, he was a 12-year-old boy playing in the park. When the officers pulled up they gave no verbal commands and shot within two seconds of arriving on the scene. He was not breaking any laws; he was given no orders to obey. As if the case of Tamir Rice was the only one.
As if the question does not clearly hint toward the powderkeg that started it all â the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson.
Jasmine Waddell, a freshman dean, liked the placemats. âThis is a way to say, âYouâve been exposed to a lot of different ideas, and particularly in this moment when thereâs a lot of discussion about various topics, youâre going to go home and you may or may not be able to speak the same language,ââ Waddell told the Harvard Crimson.
âItâs not that you have to believe in whatâs on the placemat, but it gives you some tools to be able to have productive conversations.â You donât have to believe? Somehow, the diversity office failed to mention that on the placemats.
Embarrassed about making the news, Harvard officials apologized Wednesday. They wrote a letter to students saying they âfailed to account for the many viewpoints that exist on our campus on some of the most complex issues we confront as a community and society today.â In other words: We were dismayed to realize that not everyone has yet bought into our idiotic worldview and weâll be back next year to try again when the indoctrination has had another 12 months to sink in.
How will these snowflakes react when they discover that their job comes with a “probationary” period, even they committed no offense? That they may be dismissed for any, or no reason - and that their boss doesn’t even have to tell them why they are being escorted out the door? How will they react when a “real world” scenario hits, and they must defend their ideas among peers and superiors - and when they claim “free space” or “safe space”; I can’t speak for other supervisory managers, but this one would escort them to the parking lot immediately.
How cute. They can go home and wave their little red placemats.
I would tell my kid that my hard earned dollars can’t support paying for that nonsense anymore
Turkey & giblet gravy privilege.
These are our best universities...
Meanwhile, FBI Director James Comey has stated that it is not possible to vet the Syrian refugees.
The little red placemat.
Although the place-mat is correct about Tamir Rice, the statement that “many times” the young blacks are not breaking the law is incorrect. Most of the other incidents, if not all, they were breaking the law or had just finished breaking the law.
As for whites, they get shot too if they are breaking the law and decide to fight the cop. Their names are not broadcast to the whole world when it happens, and nobody starts saying they were good kids.
Beyond pathetic, thanks for posting
If these placemats are absorbent, they might be useful as bum wad. Otherwise ...
The ‘Chinese Zodiac’ has more validity than that placemat.
The little cupcakes with their degrees in ridiculous nonsense no private business, large or small cares about will be not only jobless for the foreseeable future, but clueless and lacking basic skills for being an adult as well.
My parents were not wealthy, so my sibling and I worked at any job we could get to pay for college. If parents would just refuse to pay for the full monty, universities might actually start teaching something that made sense...
“We let in Central American refugees without any trouble.”
that’s a flat-out lie
You betcha!
The problems with this government edict(ed) forced immigration is that it is festering, smoldering and will erupt like Mt. Vesuvius.
