Jet-lagged from a long overseas trip, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel had just sat down with his wife for a quiet dinner at an upscale Italian restaurant in northern Virginia when his phone rang. It was the White House on the line. President Barack Obama wanted to speak with him.
It was Aug. 30, 2013, and the U.S. military was poised for war. Obama had publicly warned Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad that his regime would face consequences if it crossed a “red line†by employing chemical weapons against its own people. Assad did it anyway, and Hagel had spent the day approving final plans for a barrage of Tomahawk cruise missile strikes against Damascus. U.S. naval destroyers were in the Mediterranean, awaiting orders to fire.

I watched a good part of Chuck's confirmation hearing. I asked my wife about 3 minutes in, "Did this guy show up drunk?" And what kind of idiot stays on the job for 6 months after being publicly fired? 0 didn't have a replacement picked out ready to go? He's an idiot, too.
"7-beer-buzz" describes your entire tenure in government, Chuck. You're a multi-millionaire in his golden years. Instead of publicly whining about your complete and utter failure as a government official and how you were treated there, why don't you go retire to your country house on Lake Michigan? Nobody wants to see or hear your dumb ass. The only place anybody should see you is at a resort in the Poconos ordering another margarita.

Liz, it does seem that US foreign policy is being run as a profit center by the current regime. I suspect that profit is a primary motivation, along with wanting to destroy Israel, for the nuke agreement with Iran: it’s a means for the Chicago cabal to generate kickbacks from Iran’s $150B that is being unfrozen. It would be interesting to see those wire transfers....
If this regime is taking money from terrorist countries, we demand the foundations, library fund and other networks be closed down. AND we demand reparations for using US govt power for get-rich-quick schemes on our dime.
