...he was for amnesty before he was against it...
[snip]
...from the No. 1 defender of deportation. At the end of June, speaking to the press in Chicago and after saying he "heard you probably have 30 million" illegal aliens in America, Trump contended:
"You have to give them a path, and you have to make it possible for them to succeed. You have to do that. But the bad ones, and there are bad ones, you have to get out, and you have to get them out fast."
[snip]
...Trump, interviewed by Newsmax's Ron Kessler, blasted Mitt Romney's "crazy policy of self-deportation." It was "maniacal," he said, contending it cost the Republican "all of the Latino vote" and adding "he lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country."
Trump told Kessler that the Republicans must develop comprehensive immigration reform "to take care of this incredible problem that we have with respect to immigration, with respect to people wanting to be wonderful, productive citizens of this country."
[snip]
..."The Democrats didn't have a policy for dealing with illegal immigrants, but what they did have going for them is they weren't mean-spirited about it. ... What they were is they were kind."
[snip]
Trump sneered, "Jeb (Bush) is a very nice person" and "Jeb said when they come across the southern border, they come as an act of love." But Trump's reference to immigrants, legal and illegal, as "people wanting to be wonderful, productive citizens of this country" sounds awfully similar.
"I have a very hard-line position,"... ..."People that have come into our country illegally, they have to go."
"They have to go" is quite a flipflop from the "you have to give them a path" position that Trump took only five and a half months ago.

Are you referring to Cruz?
Spreading more lies about Trump ping.
The desperation is getting funny, now.
Reason doesn’t work with people who’ve taken leave of reality.

And reason does not seem to work with people who refuse to see reality.
Your boy Ted is only interested in “managing” Washington as evidenced by his oped about the Omnibus bill.
He still seems to believe that republicans are being weak and giving in to Obama and the left when the truth has become evident that they are COMPLICIT in this madness.
Ted also proved that he is not ready for prime time by being suckered by McConnell. He is too green, too trusting, and too naive for the job if he can’t tell when he is being lied too even when members of his staff tried to warn him.
LOL, yeah, okay.
Well said.
Both sides of every issue, bump to the top
The desperation is getting funny, now.

A gutsy move building a golf club in Scotland, where bad weather is the rule : )
It was a smart and gutsy move. Scotland is the Valhalla of golfers. :)
Too bad people don’t actually listen to his policy! Some off the cuff remark doesn’t tell Trump’s policy position....Rubio has been pulling this crap too. Trump never said a ‘path to citizenship’ or ‘path to legalization!
He said: “You have to give them a path, and you have to make it possible for them to succeed. You have to do that. But the bad ones, and there are bad ones, you have to get out, and you have to get them out fast.”
And he’s right! Don’t you think it’s about time we let the good ones in instead of ALL OF THEM??? THINK, people!

THIS ARTICLE IS A LIE! We knew Marco Rubio had sold out to the illegal alien lobby LONG ago, but we didn’t know he was a flat out liar.
Here are the facts of #Trumps prior position IN WRITING: Trump from “The America We Deserve”, 2000 He has always been pro enforcement/anti INVASION!
IMMIGRATION- PROTECTING OUR OWN There’s another area of foreign affairs that doesn’t get talked about very much, but it is a huge issue: Immigration. America is experiencing serious social and economic difficulty with illegal immigrants who are flooding across our borders. Five million illegals live in this country.
Two million of them live in California. Seven hundred thousand undocumented immigrants live in Texas. We simply can’t absorb them. It is a scandal when America cannot control its own borders.
A liberal policy of immigration may seem to reflect confidence and generosity. But our current laxness toward illegal immigration shows a recklessness and disregard for those who live here legally.

Trump from “Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” 2011
Illegal immigration is a wrecking ball aimed at U.S. taxpayers. Washington needs to get tough and fight for “We the People,” not for the special interests who want cheap labor and a minority voting bloc. Every year taxpayers are getting stuck with a $113 billion bill to pay for the costs of illegal immigration.2 That’s a bill we can’t afford and wouldn’t have to pay if people in Washington did their jobs and upheld our nation’s laws.

Great post AuntB!
“Oh, and Sam Popkin came up with the term “low information”
Doesn’t much matter; do you think Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin are low information?
Rush knows Trump on a personal basis, and said yesterday that what he says now he has heard him say over the years privately.

10. HB1 Visas
Ted Cruz was a vocal supporter of expanding HB1 visas as recently as 2013, advocating for the expansion of these visas by 500%. He has argued for the expansion of these visas both on the Senate floor and in the media, but under pressure from Donald Trump for the votes of anti immigration Republicans, Cruz has now proposed that we suspend the program and investigate it for abuse. He says there is âreport after report after report of big companies abusing the HB1 programâ. His 180 on this issue is a direct result of the rise of Donald Trump, which seems to have made most of the Republican candidates go a little crazy.
No, and I don't think they really think Trump is a serious leader or policymaker.
They are entertainers who can make good money off the Trump phenomenon and use it to take down the Romney/Jeb! crew simultaneously.
If either of them actually pull the lever for Trump rather than Cruz, then they are discarding all their knowledge for a fad.
Amen, AuntB.
They’re panicking and trying (desperately) to change the narrative, during this amnesty snake fight, taking place :)
