AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va (WVIR) -
Augusta County schools closed their doors Thursday and canceled all sports and activities for the day.
All the county’s schools are closed Friday, December 18, too. Meanwhile, all school sports and activities scheduled for the weekend are also canceled.
It all stems from a world geography class assignment at Riverheads High School that some parents called Islamic indoctrination.
The writing assignment incorporated Arabic calligraphy, but also included an Islamic proclamation of faith. That prompted a community meeting and a lot of anger. That anger apparently coming not just from central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley, but from outside areas too.
The school system says it's received so many phone calls and e-mails following that controversial assignment that they felt they had to close the schools as a precautionary measure.
Officials say that the assignment will use a different, non-religious phrase in the future.

Instead of cancelling classes and closing schools, they should have simply cancelled the ill-advised Islamic Indoctrination assignment. WTF were they thinking?

Christmas is too religious to be acknowledged in a country founded by Christian people.
But ordering students to write out praise to Allah is perfectly fine with the swine who run the schools.

Shahada is the Muslim profession of faith, expressing the two simple, fundamental beliefs that make one a Muslim: La ilaha illa Allah wa-Muhammad rasul Allah. The Islamic proclamation of faith is what you say when you convert to Islam.
That alone should get someone fired. Imagine a class taught by a Baptist that asked kids to pray a sinners prayer.
Understand, and tell everyone you know: it’s DONE. The kids are now moslem.
And it looks good for them, or so they think, to close school due to islamaphobia.
This is like some kind of nightmare.
The poor Jews were the minority in Germany as they watched the nightmare unfold.
Christians are not here.

Let’s be frank. We couldn’t really accept the results if hillary won and expect there to be anything REMOTELY resembling America after four years.

This government indoctrination center is punishing the students for their parents’ objections to the progressive indoctrination of students. Next time the children won’t tell their parents what is going on. The wicked who prey on children are very cunning.
And no one ever has to recite the Lord’s prayer.
Or whatever Buddhists say.
Guess the teachers and administrators wanted a longer “winter” break.
I don’t know where you live, but when I look around, I don’t see anything REMOTELY resembling America now.

Even if they did, reciting the Lord’s Prayer does not make you a Christian, by reciting it.
