Is Donald Trump going off the liberal deep end?
The American Thinker ^ | December 15, 2015 | Ed Straker

Posted on 12/16/2015 12:50:35 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

There has been a big question mark about the sincerity of Donald Trump's views, given that he has spent 99% of his adult life supporting liberal positions, including amnesty for illegal aliens, and saying at one point that Hillary Clinton was a really good secretary of state.

But he was said to be changed when he ran for president earlier this year. He spoke rousingly against illegal aliens and against Muslim immigration.

But all of a sudden he has taken a leftward tack, perhaps figuring, erroneously, that this is the best way to outflank Ted Cruz. Trump has actually criticized Ted Cruz for failing to support ethanol mandates....If Donald Trump can't cut ethanol, how can he cut any form of corporate welfare?...He throws out the old line of getting rid of "waste, fraud, and abuse," but every candidate says that. In fact, Trump never talks about cutting the budget. Our debt is slowly destroying the country, and he has no plan to reduce deficits.

Even more alarmingly, Trump has criticized Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia...

...Trump's attitude seems to be that he likes affirmative action, regardless of the results...Can we really afford to have a president appointing more supreme court justices who support such discrimination?

Racial discrimination against whites and Asians, also known as affirmative action, is just fine with Donald Trump. On Meet the Press..."I lived with it for a long time. And I've had great relationships with lots of people. So I'm fine with it."

Lastly, Trump blasted Ted Cruz for acting like a "maniac" in his fight against the establishment GOP in the U.S. Senate...As Mark Levin noted,he seems to be labeling all of us who supported Cruz's efforts to stop Obamacare and Obama's illegal amnesty and Obama's runaway spending as maniacs as well. Even Rush Limbaugh has said that Trump's tack to the left raises "red flags."......

Then Trump should have run for the U.S. Senate seat from NY.

I love how you can rise out of your seat in righteous indignation to “vet” Perry but the very idea of vetting Trump is unthinkable.

How about Trump’s love for single payer, government healthcare?

That alone should disqualify Trump from consideration.

Face it, there’s no other office Trump was ever going to run for short of President. He’s a leader, not a legislator.

BTW, for someone who is as left-wing as you claim Trump is, why are you promoting him for these jobs ? You don’t see me demanding El Jebbe, La Raza Rick, Kay Sick, Krispy Kreme or the other RINO midgets run for a lesser office. Want to know why ? Because they SUCKED at being Governor and don’t deserve to ever hold office again.

If I thought Trump were the left-wing monster you portrayed him to be (which is rich given your love for La Raza Rick), he would’ve exposed himself and his agenda by now. He’s already exhibited more leadership skills in the pre-primary than any other Republican has in 36 years. It’s like we have General Patton back from the great beyond and he’s finally getting to run the race his assassins deprived him (and America) of.

You really go off the rails - "monster" - really!?

He is what he is, a died-in-the-wool New York City liberal.

Celebrate and support him all you like. But Trump is no General George Patton.

Good grief.

This is your "general."

Donald Trump is supported backstage by his wife Melania and children Donald Jr (left) and Eric (far right) were also in Las Vegas to support the candidate after last night's heated GOP debate in Las Vegas

Bound to happen sooner rather than later.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!

I pray every time I cross the Potomac at Williamsport, that bridge just looks like the interstate road should fall into the water!!!

I sure don’t cross with a group of tractor trailers, you can feel it move!

WV is a schizoid state.
[I can say that because half my kin come from there]

They left VA to become WV when TWONA started.

Then they become die hard Dems.

Now, despite “leaving the Confederacy”, there are more reb battle flags there than you can imagine.

They hate the ‘gubmint’ and ‘revenooers’ yet vote nearly lock step Dem.

They’re just now figuring out that Dems are not really Dems anymore.

W.MD [being merely The Gateway To WV] suffered the same delusion until fairly recently.

When people say “We’ll kick the Dems’ asses. We have all the guns!”, I *know* they have no dealings with WVians.

This has to be the weirdest area to live in, politically, ever.

:-\

Why send money overseas to corrupt governments when our infrastructure is crumbling?

Ah, Forbes. But freepers said he talked funny and his religion wasn't good enough. His flat tax looks pretty good, doesn't it?

The idea of someone who knows how the economy works in charge...what a concept. Then there's Quayle who had the audacity to use an alternative spelling of potatoE. His foreign policy knowledge and skill at diplomacy sure look pretty good now.

Hard to believe, that was 16 years ago. And what do we have now? World civilization in flames.

Anyone in their mid-30s or younger really hasn't had real-world experience with how horrific the decline of the US has been. They didn't grow up in the same world we did.

Anyone who is so anti.........any candidate, and keeps the vile hateful postings, I start to look at the poster’s name first and just skip over their rant.

She is starting to sound more like the woman scorned and that she should be beside Trump instead of Melania.

That many posts start to stink like old socks you would rather put in the trash than wash. They can’t be redeemed!
