That is a net big negative that Cruz is a Republicans. Republicans have screwed the electorate for over 10 years now.

Bush, Walker, Fiorina, Jindal, Graham, Paul, Kaisch, all pretenders put up as Trump slayers.

Now, their pictures are on the back of 18 wheelers with the caption “Have you seen”

My thought on this is that the Washington Post is simply doing more of their “Let’s get Cruz & Trump to start fighting each other” shtick.

The advantage is this: Cruz is a Republican. And Republican voters are ultimately going to nominate a legitimate, conservative Republican.

A "legitimate, conservative Republican." Oh, you mean someone like George H. W. (New World Order) Bush, Bob Dole, George W. (Medicare Part D) Bush, John McStain or Mitt Romney? THAT kind of conservative Republican?

The author lost me right there.

Republican voters are ultimately going to nominate a legitimate, conservative Republican.

Why "ultimately"? Does the author have reason to believe that conservatives are currently asleep?

only in Iowa and only among one specific group. It is the same way Huckabee did it. How about the other states? not much shift there.

With the Trumpkins??????????????? Vet, they’re skipping down the Yellow Brick Road!!!!!!!!!!!

Read this exchange on Limbaugh as he tried to discuss with a
Trumpkin—

CALLER: Socially conservative and fiscally conservative.

RUSH: All right. So are you thinking Trump is the same or does it not matter as much to you?

CALLER: Here’s the way I look at it. It’s over for the United States if we don’t win this election. Trump can win. We have to win back our country. We cannot have another Romney. We cannot have another McCain. And I look at Ted Cruz as being almost like a Romney; he’s gonna lose.

RUSH: Well, but wait. He’s not like Romney in any way shape manner or form other than if he would lose, he might have that in common, but that’s it.

CALLER: Yeah. That’s what, I mean.

RUSH: But you’re not worried that Trump isn’t who he says he is? There’s none of that? You don’t have any doubts? There are no red flags?

CALLER: I mean, you know, I’m not gonna agree with everything that Trump does, but I just want him to win back our country, our freedoms, and just get our jobs back so people are working again here in the United States.

RUSH: Okay. Well, so you’re taking him at his word.

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: When you hear him jump on Cruz the same way Democrats in the media and the Republican establishment jumps on Cruz, that doesn’t raise a little red flag for you?

CALLER: He’s gotta do his strategy, okay? Trump has to do his strategy. I don’t know what his best strategy is. You see his polls going up, Rush, his numbers going up.

RUSH: Hey, I’m just asking. You know, I’m not hiding an opinion in my question. Don’t anybody think that. YOU SEE WHAT I’M GETTING AT HER FOLKS? (My caps)

Yes who wouldn’t want to be running behind at 14% to 41%?

I like Cruz and support him and Trump. My husband does not like Cruz at all, but does like Trump.

I just don’t think that Cruz has the ability to win the hearts and minds of a large enough number of voters to succeed. Trump inspires people. People who are willing to go out of their way to hear him speak.

It’s a long time until the election, but if events continue as they have, Trump will be the next president of our country. I hope that he brings Cruz along with him.

So you think Ted Cruz would win the hypothetical “Which candidate do you want to have a beer with?” competition.

Uh oh. The Washington Post is condoning this?

That means the Elitist Party (D and R) have agreed to take Trump down with Cruz.

Don’t agree.

Did you see Laz’s post 85 here? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3372298/posts?page=85#85

It’s well worth clicking through and reading his post “Elitist vs. Populist”.

Really explains a lot and matches what is going on. I’ve been framing whats happening with Trump as people sick of elitists for a while now but never put it all together like Laz did.

Cruz, as much as I like him, is still connected to big donor money and PACs that are getting him into trouble. It’s sad to see. People say Cruz is the thoroughbred conservative, well, Trump is the thoroughbred outsider - on the new battlefield. That is why he’s on top of the polls.

Yes Cruz is poised and ready to zoom straight up to the top from his very advantageous 14 points. Trump’s 41? Nothing!
PLEEZE!

Ann Seltzer, the pollster is the best in the business. Her poll for the Des Moines Register detected the movement of evangelicals from Carson to Cruz. Ted has also been picking off libertarian leaning repubs from Paul. Huckabee and Santorums voters have been gravitating towards Cruz. Some of the best door knockers I know have been hitting it hard in Iowa as well. #GrassrootsMatter especially in Iowa.
