Is this not how it should proceed?

He walked away and hung out with the Taliban. They traded 5 Gitmo detainees for him. His sentence needs to be death by a single shooter with a pellet gun, starting with his feet and working upward. With a lunch break at the beltline.

Bammy will probably pardon him as soon as he can.

The WP reports Bergdahl’s interview story as though it were fact. IIRC the people in his squad said he was a leftist with enmity towards the army if not sympathy for the enemy. He deserted and he got people killed looking for him. Guy should be on the end of a rope as far as I am concerned.

Resulting in the death of his squad mates. My hope is that he’s executed for desertion. None of this LWOP.

Other soldiers died because they were looking for him so he is complicit in those deaths and should merit a capital case. This is no different than the felony murder statutes where an armed robbery goes bad, store clerk gets killed, and the getaway driver faces a felony murder charge. I know this concept is not within the UCMJ so they should be working on some kind of capital charge: desertion in the face of the enemy, treason, etc.

After we finish with him, Obama should be next on the list for releasing those Gitmo prisoners without Congressional review, as required by law.

I am amazed the Obama military is actually going to court martial him.

They must have run out of other options.

Fidell said. “We again ask that Donald Trump cease his prejudicial months-long campaign of defamation against our client.

Donald Trump wasn't even running for Prez when the majority of Americans made up their minds that Bergdahl is a POS, like his Muzzie lovin' father and the Muzzie who paraded them around the Rose Garden.

Obama is the one who made this political instead of just a dumb ass move to empty GITMO and put terrorists back on the battlefield

I am no longer in uniform, but I would be proud to salute Gen. Robert Abrams, who made the correct decision here for the right reasons.

As for Lt. Col. Mark Visger, who apparently tried to boost his career by doing what the Community-Organizer-in-Chief wanted instead of following his oath of office, I hope his attempt to impede justice will lead one way or another to experiencing personal justice. The Oath is to the Constitution, not to a communist traitor exercising undue influence on criminal proceedings.

Any of us who have smelled cordite and fear at the same time knows that its not about mom, country and apple pie. It becomes “Lord, don’t let me let the guys down”. It’s a bond that is hard to explain to anyone who has never seen the elephant. Any SOB that willingly violates that that deserves anything the court hands down.

The Obamanoids were pushing for something far more lenient.

Looks like this is serious pushback from the Armed Forces, right back in Obola’s face.

Interesting development. Did the Pentagon threat to go rogue on Odunga if he medaled in this decision? Or will the trial will be dragged out until after Jan. 2017 per Odunga at which point he can give a flying truck. Hey Momma and Papa Bergdahl, smart enough to figure out you were used and abused for a Photo Op. in the Flower Garden? CHUMPS!
