Shortly after Ted Cruz told GOP power brokers that Trump lacked the "judgement" to be president, Kellyanne Conway-- who runs Cruz's Keep the Promise I super PACâ defended RNC plans to strip Trump of the nomination at a brokered convention-- even if he wins the majority of votes and plurality of delegates...
KC: No, it's not cheating.
...
Chris Matthews: The candidate who gets the plurality of votes-- the most votes...should be the nominee?
KC: No, I'd have to look at the math.

Don’t forget the liberal positions that will destroy this country inside of a decade - deporting illegals and a moratorium on Muslims.
With Cruz, illegals get to stay so we won’t know who is here and what their intent is. Terrorism won’t be stopped one bit.
So you admit Cruz can’t do the work required to win on his own - he had to follow Trump while Trump cleared the field and took all the arrows. Accurate assessment. I know I’m safer with the leader not the follower.
A photo of someone whispering in Ted’s ear. DAMN HIM!!!!!!
Right?
Outrageously excellent post!!
Thanks, you win the epitome award for showcasing my point.
Yet we have idiots here that will take it as a sign of corruption with Cruz because...well because someone posted it and some need to find something wrong with Cruz and/or trump because they couldn't handle actually winning an election with someone who loves this Nation....
One wonders how many of these "super-intelligent" pundits actually invests in the conservatism they pretend to espouse...
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader
PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
“With Cruz, illegals get to stay so we wonât know who is here and what their intent is.”
Are you ignorant? Or simply lying? Ted Cruz has spoken at length about deportation and his opposition to amnesty.
Promote truth, CB. Not falsehoods.
Here’s Cruz saying he questions Trump and Carson’s judgement to be president.
see my post #52
I concur.
I hope that lizard is whispering.. Then again, that’s coordination.
I don’t think that the President can negotiate who will fill cabinet departments. Vice President is different since the candidate’s name goes on the ballot, and voters will get to vote on him, and thus, the selection of Vice President is properly a matter of politics.
That is quite an accusation. Especially coming from a partisan for a candidate who has ADMITTED to BRIBING high government officials to help accumulate his billions of dollars. I think you are accusing Sen. Cruz of trump’s actual dirty deeds.
With trump, all the illegals who can show they had productive work or were engaged in business get an expedited LEGAL ticket back to the USA. How many millions of illegals will trump amne s ty? To me, it sounds like most.
Trump has no super pacs. He doesn’t have to get “whispered” to by rich old lizards.
I think Obama had pretty well telegraphed that Clinton would be SecState.
No one really knows until the president forwards the nomination, so it would be hard to prove that wasn’t his choice anyway.
It will take 1236 delegates to win the nomination on the first ballot, and on the first ballot, all of the delegates are obligated to vote for the candidate to whom they were committed in the primary process. Unless Trump has 1236 committed delegates going into the convention, he will not win on the first ballot.
After the first ballot, the delegates are free to vote for whatever candidate they choose. It is at that stage that the wheeling and dealing will begin. And it is possible that the anti-Trump forces could put together a coalition to support another candidate that would be able to get 1236 votes. We may not like that outcome, but it IS within the rules, so it is NOT cheating.
So if Trump does not have enough delegates to win on the first ballot, we will see how good of a deal-maker he really is.
He will win 27 percent of all those groups.
There is a proposal that, in order to qualify for GOP primaries, the candidates have to agree to serve in the winner’s Cabinet, and the winner has to agree to appoint his rivals to Cabinet positions.
This would be an attempt to mimic a parliamentary system, where party leaders are expected to have executive experience in government, and various factions have to make common cause.
Why would something that someone from a super PAC says push you away from Cruz? You do know that by law Cruz has no control over what any PAC says or does on his behalf, right?
