Shortly after Ted Cruz told GOP power brokers that Trump lacked the "judgement" to be president, Kellyanne Conway-- who runs Cruz's Keep the Promise I super PACâ defended RNC plans to strip Trump of the nomination at a brokered convention-- even if he wins the majority of votes and plurality of delegates...
KC: No, it's not cheating.
...
Chris Matthews: The candidate who gets the plurality of votes-- the most votes...should be the nominee?
KC: No, I'd have to look at the math.

I started out hoping that Cruz would be the nominee. However, its things like this that push me away. We the people are fed up with politicians.
Politicians that lie, cheat and steal. Politicians who promise anything to get elected and then, have no time for the voters. Politicians who think they’re above the law.
If Cruz has any credibility, he needs to fire this “expert”.
There is not going to be any “brokered convention.” The mystery is why Kellyanne Conway would go on Chris Matthews show in the first place.
started out hoping that Cruz would be the nominee. However, its things like this that push me away. We the people are fed up with politicians
That is an entirely naive view. Politicians of all stripes do what is in their best interest it is the people whom you should blame, for failing to vote their interest on an intelligent informed basis.
I would put those propose to vote for Donald Trump in that category.
Really now Nathan, would you feel that way if one of Trump’s people had gone on Chris Matthews and stated that even if Ted Cruz had a plurality of votes to be nominated that it would be perfectly ok to cast that aside in favor of a ‘brokered convention’?
I can hear the shrieks and wailing now.
it is the people whom you should blame, for failing to vote their interest on an intelligent informed basis.Of course you would because everyone knows you're the most intelligent, best informed person to ever walk the planet and your comment, as idiotic as it seems, has nothing to do with your disdain for Trump and his supportersI would put those propose[sic] to vote for Donald Trump in that category.
if the rules of the convention require a majority rather than a plurality in order to nominate, and further require that the convention do what conventions of done since the beginning of time, then Kellyanne Fitzpatrick Conway’s remarks are perfectly proper
Make no mistake as this person did not say this without the OK of Ted Cruz or we’d read of the firing.
In other news... Donald Trump supports Donald Trump
Kellyanne, if Trump meets all the rules of nomination of the convention, and they broker him out anyway, then it IS cheating. Just more disgusting GOP-e shenanigans.
Its more than contact sport.
If anything is questionable Here it is why would Ted show his cards?
I am calling BS on this latest attempt to stir the war between Trump and Cruz
lol, don’t hate the player, hate the game. I thought Trump was going to win “every state” according to his supporters... so this shouldn’t be an issue, right?
ABC news reporting that Trump is attacking Cruz even as I type this
It may not be "cheating" but it would be extremely self destructive! Such action would be perceived as a win for the corrupt and out-of-touch GOPe. Such action would put Cruz in their league.
Why are all you people so worried about Ted Cruz?
We all know Donald Trump is God /S
The Cruz team are morons if they think they would ever be the beneficiaries of any GOPe skullduggery.
A brokered convention is what Reagan was trying for in 1976. And it’s what I was hoping for. Unfortunately, we got Ford. And Carter.
Nothing wrong with a brokered convention.
Using psychological data is precisely the way Obama won two elections. - with the help of Facebook and Google. I saw it happening at the time and was stunned at the breadth of the information they gathered.
Shocking that Kellyanne Conway would say something provocative in order to get on TV
Shocking
