WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Republican presidential candidates Chris Christie and Rand Paul will be in the prime-time lineup for the party's next presidential debate, CNN said on Sunday. Donald Trump will hold center stage as the party front-runner on the main stage on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, CNN said, flanked by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Ted Cruz, who took the lead in an Iowa opinion poll on Saturday.

We need to be down to 4 or 5 candidates on stage. This has become un-watchable and so, I won't.
I will find out from all of you how it turns out.
CNN will do all they can to DILUTE THE IMPACT OF ANY ONE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE.
A lot of it !
Paul being added is complete BS
Did not meet any of the requirements (3.5% Avg Natl) or 4% in IA or NH, and Paul was prepared to Exit the race Tuesday afternoon.
Now it just muddies it more with way too many people still on stage.
Me? Or Christy? Or, CNN? lol
5 candidates is plenty and only 4 of those are viable.
Really, there is no need.
I am not interested in watching people who serve no purpose whatsoever.
I think I’ll watch something else.
Trump will call the 1%ers out.
I think those saying this a strategy to dilute the leaders message are on to something. I think they are 100% right.
They did it because those two would gripe as to why Jeb isn’t at the kiddie table.
He should be.
There goes the neighborhood. The Laurel and Hardy of Yale have returned.

Yes. Cruz will field the fewest questions despite having rocketed to the top in Iowa and second place in a national poll.
He wasn t asked to appear on ANY of the Sunday morning political programs.
(((YAWN))) I don’t need any more “debates”. I’m voting for Ted. Unlike the low info DemocRAT voters, we have a choice. I’ve made mine.
Why not add Pataki?
With just enough time for soundbites and bumper sticker gotchas, CNN can try to keep substance out of the debate.
I’m surprised they haven’t added Romney to the stage.
In before the Trumpkins tell you Donald won.
Christie and Paul mostly make R’s look bad to the large pool of uncommitted voters. This may be why c n n wants them up there
I expect that the bottom of the roster will get the most questions. It is a strategy to diminish Trump and Cruz. I also expect lots of UFO Alien type questions trying to make Republicans look crazy.
The cult of Cruz are already talking about their victory.
