TCruz is a trap. easily disqualified, regardless how good a candidate he is.

i’ve asked them directly, and they won’t answer. TCruz himself proposed his theory on how he’s a natural born citizen (being born in canada)... but using his logic, he’s a natural born citizen from at least three countries... which would obviously be a problem.

for me to be in the TCruz camp, which in theory would be fine, he would need to get the NBC issue cleared up by SCOTUS

If Cruz is not a natural-born citizen, then you should have no trouble showing us his naturalization paperwork.

Or, are you suggesting that he's an illegal alien?

Those are the only possibilities if Cruz isn't a natural-born citizen.

Do not let a win in Iowa, where barely 5% of Iowans bother to spend entire day in a boring Caucus, in concluding winner of Iowa will win nomination.

The winner will be decided in large blue states who get large number of delegates. Republicans in blue states tend to be more centrists. Just look at the senators they send from blue states. Mark Kirk? Jacob Javits? Scott Brown? Pete Wilson? Arlen Specter?

Are you getting my drift? Does Cruz have a chance to carry any of those states?

Santorum won Iowa. Where is president Santorum?
Huckabee won Iowa. Where is president Huckabee?

Apples and Oranges. Incumbents can win Iowa. And when the competition is weak, the candidate with most name recognition and money can win Iowa and run the tables to nomination.

But when there is a strong field running, such as in 2016, Iowa win does not portend the trend of things to come. Usually the candidate with most evangelical support comes out ahead, but then fizzles due to the strong field of candidates.

wrong.

1. natural born (like the vast majority of Americans... which is why they don’t understand)
2. nauralized
3. native born

a native born citizen is one born with citizenship at birth.

TCruz is a native born citizen of the US, Cuba, Canada, and maybe Britain

If I included incumbents I would have listed Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford.

GW Bush was not an incumbent when he won the Iowa caucuses in 2000.

sten, you can't even get the actual words of the Constitution right (Article II, Section 1):
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President;
There is nothing in the Consitution about a "native born" citizen. It's natural born citizens who are "born with citizenship at birth".

I await your apology.

Like I said Bush had weak opponents in 2000.
Name recognition, money, president Bush-41, was too much for weak opponents to win anything except some very small states.

Always give more weight to more recent results.

Santorum wins Iowa in 2012.
Huckabee wins Iowa in 2008.
Cruz wins Iowa in 2016.

But there is no path to winning nomination.
All are perceived as religious evangelists.
That did not help them in other states.
Cruz will follow Santorum & Huckabee.
Make a note.
You heard it here first.
Talk to me after super Tuesday.
