In what's more evidence that Donald Trump is becoming completely unhinged, he is now stooping so low as to label Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz "a bit of a maniac":
"I donât think heâs qualified to be president⦠I donât think he has the right temperament. I donât think heâs got the right judgment⦠You look at the way heâs dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a â you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac. Youâre never going to get things done that way."
He added:
"Look, I built a phenomenal business. Iâm worth many, many billions of dollars. I have some of the greatest assets anywhere in the world. You canât walk into the Senate, and scream, and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get along with people. Heâll never get anything done. And thatâs the problem with Ted."
It's rather fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him "a loser" and worse. See how he smeared Dr. Ben Carson by calling him "pathological."
What's more, Trump's latest jabs at Cruz prove that he has no idea what real conservatives want. Cruz promised them to stand up for their values in Washington D.C., even if the establishment would hate him for it. That's exactly what he's done, and it's one of the main reasons that he's now so popular among Evangelicals, very conservative voters, and those who identify themselves with the Party.
If I was Cruz, I'd politely ask The Donald to attack me even more. After all, this will only end up helping, rather than hurting him.

The headline is misleading. Trump did not necessarily go nuclear, he just responded in kind to Cruz’s statement about him. This is politics. Politicians make political statements. That is the game.
The drunk uncle...
um... if this is true... it’s sad.
because honestly I think our chances of winning in 2016 just dropped dramatically.
This is a no win situation.
If Trump wins by going this route... he will enrage the Cruz supporters who will stay home on election day.
If Cruz prevails ... he will emerge badly wounded and unable to beat Hillary.
But the most likely outcome is they both destroy each other and leave the lane to victory wide open for Marco I love Amnesty Rubio.
Don’t do that, Donald......don’t go there.
Yosemite Sam thinks Cruz is temperamentally unsuitable? Who’duh thunk it?
This is TRUMP’s way of talking. All he is basically saying is that CRUZ’s approach WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL in accomplishing his policy objectives. That’s all.
And TRUMP is right.
So it’s ok for Cruz to say Trump lacks judgement to be President, to put the finger on the button thing out there, but not ok for Trump to say the same thing about Cruz.
Cruz is a life long conservative. Trump is a recent convert at best.
Who called Reagan’s economic plan “Voodoo Economics”. I think it was his eventual VP choice.
Now what was his name? He has a couple of sons in politics...
I had read article some time ago talking about how pretty much nobody in the Senate can stand him. Also read the same thing about his debate team. On a personal level the man apparently turns people off and I’ve been wondering how are you going to lead a nation, especially with very little executive experience to your credit, if no one can stand you.
I have seen people in life who are brilliant, who are right, but ended up losers because no one who had to deal with them could stand them.
New talking points that I have already noted that the Trumpanzees have started to spread here. It’s comical... like a clown.
Clickbait headline, vapid commentary.
The writer smears Trump by claiming Trump “smeared” Carson by calling him “pathological”. Trump was simply quoting Carson’s own book with that term, and in response to when Carson tepidly tried to go negative on Trump himself.
Likewise, this writer is either too biased or too ignorant to note what Cruz was quoted as having said about Trump earlier this week. Trump was, once again, only reflecting back a somewhat limited attack.
“Going after Cruz for not working well with Congress makes zero sense, unless you are Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham, etc.”
Cruz slapped Trump, Trump slapped back. Don’t read too much into it all. It is like that heavy weight fight I saw last night. The two men were trying to kill each other, but after the fight, they hugged. That is the way men in real life respond. Two men can fight one day, and the next night they are drinking beer together.
His kids better reign in this behavior.
Do be aware that Cruz started this going when he was running his mouth and thought he was off mic.

CRUZ HITS TRUMP!! Cruz Questions Trumps judgement at private fundraiser
Yes. But you MISS half the story here. TRUMP, in fact, is not saying that he disagrees with his policies, he's saying that CRUZ's... METHODS and APPROACH did not accomplish the desired policy objectives.
Anyone trying to make anything else out of this, is totally blind to the real point here.
PEOPLE..... WAKE THE F... UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!!!!
it was a matter of time before Trump started attacking Cruz. Trump is totally ego driven and must attack those who are getting in his way. I hope Cruz doesn’t lower himself to that level.
Well try to tamp down the emotion a little or you will be labeled liberal.
Having conservative ideals has nothing to do with lacking the personal skills to advance your agenda.
Wishful thinking part 27.
