Maybe that is because people are disgusted with both parties.

O.C. lost whites, gained Hispanics and Asians, census shows

Orange County lost about 15 percent of its white population (about 226,000 people) but gained nearly 80 percent more Hispanics (nearly 450,000 people) and more than 120 percent more Asians (more than 290,000 people) since 1990, according to the census.

They are all moving from California to Texas and other more conservative states. California is rapidly depopulating of Republicans who realize California is a lost cause. They are going to where their consevative votes influence elections rather than being overwhelmed and marginalized in CA.

Democrats are flat and republican losses are going to independent.

I wonder who the Republican Party of OC endorses for President? If it’s Bush, Rubio or another establishment candidate then we can be sure of the reason.

Republican party is slowly dying and they don’t seem to care.

Orange County’s Republican decline is reflecting the success of The Democratic Party’s promotion of the illegal invasion. Santa Ana for example is Mexican. It is the increase in the Mexican population with their lust for taxpayer “Freebies” that has turned California PERMANENTLY Democratic. There will NEVER be a Republican elected executive official and soon the Republican’s will not even have a member in the State Legislature. Soon the Mexican flag will be raised over California public buildings. California has passed into conquered territory.

And this is a surprise because?

This is the result of replacing the white American middle class that once populated Orange County with third world immigrants, legal as well as illegal.

Whites (can we say that?), gringos, gabachos, are now a minority in north Orange County. And white Americans are only a portion of that ‘white’ count.

Congratulations are due to Dubya and the rest of the Open Borders Republicans. We now have mosques where we had none. The radio dial is filled with foreign language stations where they once were in English. Good job. Take down the flag when you leave.

I have resided in the OC for over 60 years with only a break of two years for military service.

There have always been Hispanics. Most now are 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th generation natural born citizens, and GOP/conservative derision doesn’t help.

My soon to be 91 year old mother has elementary school photos from nearby Whittier in the 1930s with about 1/3 of her class being Hispanic.

By now a great many families that have been in the area for any time, are intermarried with Hispanics. Mine is.

The town in Colorado from which I came before moving to Calif. is agricultural, and now 39% Hispanic. When I left there in 1954 the city street-water truck driver had me convinced he was the Cisco Kid.

Most Hispanics in the US today are NOT immigrants. The are natural born citizens.

BTW in Reagan’s time, Asians voted Republican in California.

Continuing to be identified as anti-immigrant does not help the GOP.

California went over to the Dark Side a number of years ago.

Immigration, sure, but even White Californians are different from what they were a generation or two back.

My last trip to OC was a shock. Throngs of people everywhere, but it looked like the United Nations.

I asked myself what in the world they were all producing.

All I could come up with for an answer was: More debt and higher taxes. Because the fact is that a large proportion of them are living off government checks, one way or another.

It just ain’t sustainable. At some point the victim of parasites keels over and dies.
