FULL TITLE- High School Administrator Dismisses Students from Ben Shapiro Speech to 'Protect' Their Feelings: 'It's Starting to Cross a Line'
-snip-
Shapiro added that America's permanent poor were not poor because they had been exploited by wealthier Americans, but because permanently poor Americans are typically not good with money, which is why lottery winners with a history of poverty largely fall back into poverty after spending their winnings.
"The reason people are permanently poor in the United States," Shapiro said, "isn't because they don't have money, it's because they suck with money. The reasons people are temporarily poor can vary." As a rumble ran through the crowd, Shapiro continued, "That's not even controversial. If you're permanently poor [in America] for your entire life, you're not great with money by definitionâ¦"
That's when Nafarrete stepped in and dismissed the students. "I'm sorry, Mr. Shapiro," he said, "I'm at a point right now, where, quite frankly, I'm going to dismiss the students⦠With all due respect, Mr. Shapiro, Mr. Shapiro represents a narrative that he's providing to all you guys based on his opinions, what he believes, what he wants to share with all of you. I know that the education was there for all of you to understand, the left side, right side, whatnot, but also the opportunity was allowed for him to impress some of his opinions on certain things⦠I think what this is getting into now, it's starting to cross a line."
Shapiro interjects, "What would that line be?"
Nafarrete continues, "For those students who would like to be dismissed, I'm going to allow you to go ahead and do so at this time."

OUR side is The New Counter-culture on the barricades..!
THEY are The Establishment.
Poverty is a mental condition.
So the Admin basically agreed with the contents of the talk being true......
I remember back in high school when the Apprentice was on and Trump’s 5 laws were stated (i forgot the other 4) but one of them that stuck with me was ‘YOU ARE POOR BECAUSE OF THE POOR CHOICES YOU MADE IN LIFE”. and I took it to heart.
and one of them was “you cannot get rich working for someone else”. Yeah, that one I used to make my own company.
They also make poor choices, from education to personal choices. They rarely invest in themselves, preferring instead to forego investing in themselves (e.g., education) to living in the here-and-now. They rarely take advantage of the biggest free education available teaching marketable skill sets that could make them comfortable for the rest of their lives. I mean the US military. Nope, they prefer to rely on shortcuts, luck, or crime to satisfy their needs.
it’s starting to cross a line
I’ve had lefties use that when they were shown to be hypocrits, got caught lying and didn’t like being called out on it and in order to silence opposition cause the opposition doesn’t know what the “line” is.
That of course is an estimate.
I think 53% stayed and 47% left, to be more precise.
“permanently poor Americans are typically not good with money”
My son is a perfect example. He gets a large income tax return thanks to the Earned Income Credit, Instead of putting it in the bank and using it to supplement his income and as an emergency fund, he immediately proceeds to waste it on crap he doesn’t need and is broke within a month.
Wow!
School Administrators sure can’t take the heat of the truth, can they?
My folks were teachers (one a college Prof) who were HATED because they voted for Nixon over McGovern.
It’s only gotten worse in the last four decades.
What if Ben Shapiro had said something disparaging about Apple or Muslims at the same time?
I realized, at some point, that I could not keep believing the liberals who kept telling me that our family was poor because the rich stole everything from us.
When I gave up that belief, as well as many other beliefs meant to hold poor people down, I managed to actually do something with my life other than being a welfare queen.
Uh oh, now you’ve done it. Insulted the cult disguised as a religion.
Muslims too.
Ben Shapiro is da man!
What is important is did the remaining students ask INTELLIGENT questions and did Shapiro give them INTELLIGENT answers.
If so, it was a win for the sane, objective, curious and courteous students and Shapiro.
The loser were those who walked out (semi-educated pansies) and the Administrator who is a leftist coward who should be fired immediately.
Alumni of this high school should stop making any donations to it until the Administrator is gone, and not rehired anywhere within the school system.
Of course nearly half the students left. What stoner would not take this opportunity to go out and catch a buzz.

I'm thinking of getting an iPod Touch (32GB) for my wayward nephew who never has any money but likes music.
I started my own business 30 years ago. Decided to see if I was as smart as I thought I was. I’ll never be rich but have had a comfortable life. Most important, I’ve been able to train my clients so that our efforts are collaborative and provide positive results for both of us. There is absolutely no way I could work in the corporate environment any more and certainly would never want to.
There is a niche out for everyone providing they have the self-discipline, some creative abilities, don’t mind hard work and sometimes long hours.
Obama, his liberal minions, and even some Republican
politicians are always talking about “hard working
Americans” and all the benefits they should be granted.
The reality is that to really succeed one must work
SMART as well as hard. That means get educated about
what the hell you are doing. Plenty of people work
their tails off but don’t get far because they don’t
maximize their brain power.
Shapiro told Nafarrete that they might want to get used to hearing an opposing point of view once per year, at the very least.
What a bubble these “educators” are in.
His radio co-host Brian Whitman who is very liberal, even saying he will vote for Clinton, always interrupts him to keep him from making his point.
Liberals do not like facts.
