Respecting others is desirable. Truth is essential, which is why the freedom of speech is essential.
Respecting others is a courtesy.
Those that want respect, give respect.

When are democrats going to start respecting others?
They claim to love diversity but want to lock up people who may disagree with them and do things they object to?
Things like not believe in man-made climate change, quote the US Constitution, expect the president, congress and government bureaucrats to obey the laws, and wonder out loud why Obama hides all his ID documents.
There is only one reason why they are here, and it has nothing to do with speech, unless it is the Muslims trying to take away OUR Constitution and Bill of Rights...
We have no problems with the Jewish people, or the Black Community, or the Hispanic community, it's the MUSLIMS we have a problem with...
obuma has gotten the BLM group out there yelling and screaming to cover his butt, and that's the only reason they are there...we settled this with Martin Luther King, when we were all one in this Country, but obuma with his Muslims have stirred it all up again...get rid of obuma and his executive orders and we would be back to where we were, living together again...

Since when does the Left “respect others” with their speech? They mock, often profanely, through every form of public media those that they disagree with and feel superior to.

Dean is a senior leader in a Party, ideology and movement very much rooted in deeply personalized confrontation, demonization and attack politics.
The only problem he has here is that his own tactics are now being used against him.
Liberals claim that they only want to curtail the right to bear arms, but they don’t respect any of our other Constitutional rights either.

Also, the irony of a commie like Dean lecturing on “respect” is to bizarre for sure.
