On December 3 Politico reported that while Obama is pushing for more gun laws when the cameras are rolling, behind the scenes aides say he has "essentially given up on any significant gun control."
They reported a similar situation among some of the most prominent gun control groups - a situation in which they are pushing gun control publicly while "leaders of the groups grumble" privately because the White House seems to be all talk, no action on gun control.
According to Politico, "Aides say he's essentially given up on any significant gun control passing during his presidency."
The aides stressed that the number of pro-gun members in Congress has only grown since the first big push for gun control following Sandy Hook. Because of this, the White House has "no strategy for dealing with Congress that leads to significantly tighter gun laws."

U.S. President Donald J. Trump took pen in hand and over rode all of the past executive Orders that were issued...they have now all be shredded and gone...
He also said that the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is the same as it always was and will remain that way as long as he is the President...
Maybe he has, because it would damage election chances of Hil, which really means Islamic input through Huma. Or, maybe this rumor is meant as a softening piece of disinformation, with some really sneaky and draconian attempt coming down in the next few months.

Maybe the government law enforcement agencies have told Obama that if he wants to confiscate the guns of law abiding Americans, he and his Democrat pals need to go confiscate the guns themselves. Yes, a lot of law abiding Americans will surrender their guns but what about those who won’t. It’s probably better to send Democrat politicians to deal with these people than highly trained Federal agents. A lot of taxpayer dollars have been spent training these agents. America has an overabundance of Democrat politicians and they come cheap. They are a dime a dozen. It would be no big loss to the taxpayers. I know a few guys and gals who work for the FBI and the U.S. Marshals. They are great people. They should not be forced into confiscating the guns of Americans. Let the ‘RAT politicians do it.
So this is the way it ends. Our Rights stripped away one at a time by executive order. oBOMBa STRIPPING us of our weapons. The ROPE stripping us of free speech.
Being unhappy at the mention of ‘an emperor with no clothes’ the intention is to make us stand as naked as he.

Actually, I believe it. The fact that he’s so utterly and completely irrational on the issue belies his level of frustration with the fact that he knows it ain’t happening.
That’s not to say that we should let our guard down or that he’s going to stop trying. Far from it.

He’s been making this “executive action on guns” declaration ever since Sandy Hook...and he hasn’t done anything. If there was anything of substance he could have done with executive orders, I think he would have done it long ago.
Obama will announce the solution to terrorism will come from controlling climate change, and enact heavy taxes to deal with the problem and its symptoms.
He's nothing more than a jug-eared dope who stands there and reads off a teleprompter while the major business interests that pull his strings get what THEY want.
