Speaking in Iowa Saturday, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump had notably lost his voice before a planned speech to a large crowd in Davenport. That didn't stop him from, with hoarse, hushed voice, going after rival Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
"Rubio doesn't even vote," Trump said, attacking the senator's congressional attendance, which has been much maligned by critics.
"If I were in Florida, and I put my faith in a young guy, where the ink isn't even dry on his election, and now he wants to run for president," Trump continued, then detouring. "I tell you what: I'm going to have such an easy time beating him in Florida."
"Bush is doing badly in Florida," Trump said of former Gov. Jeb Bush, another Floridian, whose campaign has suffered mightily in recent weeks. "So is Rubio. And I'm winning by so much."
"People were like surprised," Trump said, shrugging, clearly amused.
Trump then launched back into his critique of Rubio.
"Last week they had a major meeting on homeland security. How important is homeland security? And [Rubio] didn't want to go," Trump asked and said, drawing applause. "He went to a fundraiser instead in Los Angeles."

Rubio cannot even get the lead in Fl how will he win any other primaries? His mistress scandal is supposed to be breaking any day now. Between that and amnesty he’s toast.

What’s wrong with your assumption, that he’s in it for ego, is that he didn’t know how it would go when he announced. He should have, if he wanted the guaranteed followers, stuck to the allowable rhetoric but he didn’t.
And for days it not only looked like he wouldn’t do well, it looked like they were going to run him out of the race. He didn’t get in for his ego for sure.
Rumor has it Marco is getting it on with a DC lobbyist and names will be named in the next few days. I guess we will see.

That’s a really knee jerk, shallow comment. Does Trump have an ego? Sure. Does he enjoy the limelight? Sure. So what? There’s a certain amount of that in every one of the candidates. To say it’s ALL about ego is where you just go all in, stupid. Trump has proved throughout his life, that he enjoys solving problems. He’s a builder, not a destroyer. His history also shows that he’s compassionate, loves his family and is patriotic. To seize on his habit of self promotion and ignore all the rest is just not a serious attempt at making an honest assessment of the man.
Just what the hell do you Trump peeps think the media will do if he somehow garners the nomination? You ain't seen nuffin yet! They won't cease until his tails is between his legs. The opposition research that gets done on him will be epic, because he's hardly been under the radar.
It's probably just me - back to your retort - but I find Trump's being a total prick unbecoming of a serious candidate -- and once "the folks" (as O'Really calls the ignorati) begin to take a look, they'll also see him for what he is ----- an egotistical bastard who lives for nothing more than attention and the limelight.
