Donald Trump, speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), repeatedly said that Jews won't vote for him because, since he isn't accepting donations, they will not be able to control him with their money.
“You are not going to support me even though you know I am the best thing that could happen for Israel. I know why you are not going to support me. You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money,” Trump told a full auditorium of Jewish donors and Republican Jewish supporters. “You want to control your own politicians.”
This plays into anti-Semitic claims that Jews control the country with their money. Has he said this to any other group? Has he told evangelicals that they won't vote for him because they can't control him with their donations? No. Only the Jews.
It is totally bizarre that he would say something so offensive to Jewish voters. Furthermore, why would he ever tell any group of voters that they are not going to vote for him? If that's true, why did he even speak to them? It's a defeatist attitude.
I don't believe, on the basis of this alone, that Donald Trump is an anti-Semite, but these statements put his judgement into question.
Furthermore, he displayed stunning ignorance of what is going on in Israel. He said that once he is president, he is optimistic that with his deal-making skills he can bring peace between the Israelis and Palestinians in six months, or perhaps less, if both are "committted" to peace.

I think it was a joke.
Taken completely out of context and pimped by an openly anti Trump blog
Several of Trumps key advisors are Jews
Including the feisty Cohen
Folks on this forum play the you’re an anti Semite card frequently
It’s almost as good as calling someone racist
Desperate out of context reporting
Where in his comments does he say Jews can’t control him with their money? This is sick propaganda.
Does that include the people for whom we are trying to sway to vote for Trump?
He might be referring to these guys, (Zuckerburg, Bloomburg, Soros, Harvey Weinstein, etc.), who have been very active in politics using their money and influence to buy elections.
If trump believes he has zero chance with the group he was addressing, why was he there?
I've got news for you, New England trust-fund baby WASP's regard all of us that way.
Bush 41 despised all the former-Democrat Republicans like Gov. Rick Perry that way -- regarded them all as unreclaimed Klansmen, bushwhackers, and tobacco-chewing boors.
For a really good look at how Poppy and Babs operated socially in their demesnes, check the .... I think it was August or September 1988 .... Atlantic Monthly story on the Bush campaign in hiatus, at home in Kennebunkport after the '88 convention, by someone who was there. Very interesting.
The phrase my middle-class mom brought over from England, that upper-class people would use about people who didn't cut it socially, was "below the salt", i.e. on the seating chart, people who were inferiors were placed "below the salt" so that the "good people" wouldn't have to talk to them.
And used by the so-called Cruz supporters.
I said in an older post that as we get closer to the primaries, that some of these guys will start openly embracing crap put out by left-wing blogs as they begin to get desperate.
Mr.Trump, please, help educate the Jewish population on why YOU are their best friend because you love Israel and will fully support her and will also oppose Iran and the rest of Israel’s enemies. Sure, you don’t need their money, but you could use their votes, plus they need to get their thinking right. You can help with both.
God bless you as you in you efforts to make America great again.
No I haven’t noticed that
To let them know of his support for Israel. That was in the real news about this event a day or 2 ago.
More anti Trump bs. You are scrapping the bs barrel for postsw trying to slam Trump.
If he said this to real Jews not the left wing JINO’s, he has zero problems.
The scumbag leftwing JINOs wouldn’t vote for him anyway. Hell they don’t support Israel.
Donald has had great success in dealing with real Jews and will continue to have success with them.
He didn’t have the support of the left wing scum bag JINOs before and after his comments if he made them.
Did I just read somewhere that Netanyahu is meeting with trump?
With all due respect to those opposed to Trump, the Silent Majority NEEDS a loudspeaker. All we get day and night is Mr. Big Mouth himself, Barak Obama and his MSM loudspeakers.
Mr. Trump proclaims an anti-Obama, pro-America message that resonates with Americans - down to earth and anti-politically correct. He may miss a few beats once in a while. But his heart is in the the right place and he doesn’t care about his personal political future because he’d rather be doing real estate which he loves, but feels compelled to get America back on the right road - many of our Founders including George Washington were of the same mindset - they hated politics but did what they did for the sake of the Union.
So he could talk over their heads to another audience.
"I addressed the Ammonite Society yesterday, I really gave it to all those big cephalopods, I was great, you should have been there!"
So what he said is not true?Of course it's true. It would be just as true of he said the same thing to the Koch brothers and all the Koch heads they control with their PACs...including Ted Cruz.
Yes. Is the RJC a Political Action Committee (PAC) that solicits money to donate to political candidates ?
I think the loyalty of US Jews for the Democrats is about to be significantly reduced in the next election.
Trump should focus on swaying those who are considering switching.
He is, I think next week.
Total Jew-hater! /s
