Keith Eric Wood is being prosecuted for standing outside a Michigan courthouse and handing out a leaflet that discusses jury nullification.
According to Michigan authorities, his leafletting (1) constitutes felony “obstruction of justice," by "knowingly and intentionally giving the members of a ... jury pool a pamphlet that encouraged the jurors to violate their oaths and directly contradicted the instructions the jurors would be given thereby tainting the entire jury panel..."

It gives the American citizen the ability to refuse to uphold a bad law.
I am under no moral obligation to obey a law that is immoral.
My oath as a juror is to see justice done.
If I feel the law is not being used properly, or that the law is an invalid/unjust law, the only oath I would violate in not using jury nullification, would be the oath to be true to myself!
No judge, court, law, or anything else has the right to force me to go against my own self and my own moral boundaries! PERIOD!
I’m sorry that you think the government has a right to force ANYONE to break their own moral boundaries.
I was once kicked out of jury selection because I said I would never vote guilty on the charges in the case.
There should not be an oath requiring you to give up your rights as a juror. Since such an oath is invalid and is used to improperly screen jurors I would have no problem with lying about it.
May you be judged by people who believe as you do; i.e. they have a “right to lie.”

They can retry a hung jury. They can’t retry someone found not guilty.
Sit at a defense table charged with a felony and listen to an agent of the state (Prosecutor) lie thru their teeth to a jury about you to gain an advantage in a trial to send you to jail or prison.
You don’t have a clue about reality in this country’s court rooms!
It was a massive Federal case involving organized crime figures, multiple defendants, endless testimony, and every complication you can imagine. The case went on for eighteen months, and I believe only one of the jurors was still employed by the time the case ended.
The jury was out for about 20 minutes before it came back with a verdict of "Not Guilty on All Counts." At least a few of them openly admitted afterward that they rendered the verdict because they believed a prosecution team that would imprison honest, law-abiding jurors like that for 18 months had no business charging ANYONE with a crime.
May I be judged by people who know that they have the right to judge the law as well as the facts, and who know they should not be asked to swear to do otherwise? Sure, absolutely.
You are one of those poor souls who hear a phrase and immediately follow along. I have noticed that trait among libertarians. You have no idea what you are talking about. Juries decide facts judges cite the law. There is no room for oath breakers whether on the bench, the bar or on the jury. Jurors who break their oath should be punished as perjurers. I really do not wish to discuss this issue with you. One does not discuss, debate or express points of view with people like you, one commands them.
I'm glad I have kept my nose clean here in Jersey. I'd hate to be tried by 12 people who were not smart enough to get excused from jury duty!
One changes the law through legislation, not through oath breaking. As I told another “jury nullification”fanatic I do not wish to debate, discuss or express different points of view on the claim. Jurors who break their oath should be punished as perjurers. One does not debate one commands such people.

BTW I do. I have both served as a jury foreman on a trial of two brothers and was also charged by the Same prosecutor of crimes that were false. Before they had to admit to the judge they had no case the Prosecutor stood in front of a jury pool and lied thru his teeth.

We didn’t stay there long. 18 months later we were living in China - a much freer and less corrupt place than New Jersey
Here it's still the same measly five bucks it has been since the 70s. I served four times over a 20 year period; the last time was over 20 years ago. Got to be a foreman twice; once assigned, seat #1, once elected by fellow jurors. Interesting cases.
I practiced law successfully for thirty five years. Where did I admit I did not understand? Like all oath breaking fanatics you make up fantasy concepts then seek to impose them upon reality. Once again people like you cannot be reasoned with only commanded.
I really doubt you have ever taken command of anything as basic as a bowel movement.
