Sometimes we are.
I work on two or three active shooter drills a year. My wife does as well. I am not suggesting I run them, or train people on them. But I sit through the pre training and post training.
There are a million questions. But they are not going to release anything until they understand how it fits into the puzzle. There are always things they are not going to talk about because it may tie the shooters to another event or person.
I know everyone hates the first press conferences, but that chief did a great job and gave out a ton of information.
Criticizing their looks or nervous smiles is indicative of folks never being in that type of situation.
They are terrified of making a mistake.

Farooq Saeed has been identified as the possible San Bernardino shooting suspect, who reports indicate walked into a medical facility for people with developmental disabilities and opened fire.
The shooting took place at close to 11 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Waterman Avenue in the California city, taking place at a building identified as the Inland Regional Center. The facility is a state-run medical center that serves people with developmental disabilities, said Nancy Lungren, spokeswoman for the California Department of Developmental Services.
Unconfirmed reports identified the suspect as Farooq Saeed, a name repeated on police scanners and reported from some American news outlets.

...Why would they want to stop the exodus though, I wonder? .....
Maybe they are so confident about bringing people across the border, they would rather execute an attack than worry about refugees.
Besides the refugees will still most likely make it here with their chief cheerleader, sitting the White House.

Just let me throw this thought out. If you were an Islamic terrorist, why would you attack in the United States just when they are planning to take Syrian refugees (or maybe beginning to debate the issue)? Wouldnât that sort of hurt your overall strategy?
You would think so, but, for people who really understand the left, it actually makes sense. They know that people on the left live by two rules: 1) make everything political, and spin everything to cast blame on the right, no matter how egregious the lie; and 2) never, ever, admit you are wrong, or even hint that you share .01% of the blame for any issue that comes up. The left has positioned themselves as the defender of "refugees". If these invaders/refugees commit violence, they will do everything they can to spin it such that the blame lies with "the right wing." And second, they will never admit that they were wrong. In this case, anything other than doubling down on their current position would be a tacit admission of guilt. As a result, look for the left to be even more "pro-refugee" than they were.
The net result is that, while we don't yet know what happened, it is strategically sound for Islamic terrorists do this, at this time (in fact, it is even more important than usual, from their perspective). This is because it forces the left into a corner. And if they are stupid, ignorant, malevolent, and unethical, under normal circumstances, when backed into a corner, they turn evil.

Shepard Smith is friggin nauseating! The drama queen thrives on attention. He tries to make the story more about him and his odd personality than what’s going on.

can someone relieve Shep for 24 hours?
To: Vermont Lt
I will consult you next time we are called out. I am sure you can give us tips on how to deal with the news guys and the wireless crystal radios.
That's fine, I have no respect for you either.
To: Mouton
Looking at the map the shooting was less than a mile from the I10 ramp and the I10 & I215 interchange. They could be long gone from the area in minutes.
