Eleven months before the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump is the undisputed leader in the Republican field, as Dr. Ben Carson, in a virtual tie with Trump four weeks ago, drops to third place, according to a Quinnipiac University National poll released today.
Trump gets 27 percent of Republican voters today, with 17 percent for Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, 16 percent each for Carson and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and 5 percent for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. No other candidate tops 3 percent, with 8 percent undecided.

I don’t think people realize what the Gang of Eight was, or that Rubio is lying about his amnesty views.

Bush is not even in the news anymore!
FoxNews is still trying to prop him up. This morning he had a fairly lengthy interview.
FoxNews also showed a survey of leadership capability -- Jeb scored 2%.
A radio news item says Christie is starting to move up in some state.

Bunches of polls out this week have Trump all over but 27% seems solid on the low end.

But if you read further, they have Hillary beating rump by 6. That’s their real point, not that Trump leads the GOP.

So they are polling Republican “leaners” and not registered republicans in this Republican primary poll? “Leaners” tend to be independents who also vote highly Democrat, perhaps even voted for Obama once or twice. Not very accurate, like most every poll this primary.

If Trump picks a woman (which I hope he won’t), I hope it’s not Carly. She’s been really mean to him so I doubt that.
And Sarah Palin is controversial because the media succeeded in making her so.
So I really can’t think of a strong, conservative woman I would be excited about.
I’m still hoping for a Trump/Cruz ticket. Cruz says he doesn’t want that... Of course, he doesn’t...he wants to be the top of the ticket. But I think he would take it.
