Filmmaker Spike Lee sees parallels between GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump and Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
“He wants to close down the mosques now,†Lee said Monday in an interview with The Daily Beast, referring to Trump.
“That’s like the Nazis,†Lee continued. "That’s Hitler, [Italian fascist leader Benito] Mussolini, the Axis powers.
“You can’t do that,†he added.
Trump is pushing for closer scrutiny of America’s Islamic communities following last month’s terrorist attacks in Paris. About 130 people died and more than 300 others were wounded during coordinated violence across the French capital on Nov. 13.
Trump has responded by calling for stricter surveillance of the nation’s mosques following the attacks. He has also proposed a national registry of Syrian refugees.
Lee also rejected Trump’s disputed claims that some Muslim Americans in New Jersey celebrated the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“That was a bold-faced lie,†he said in The Daily Beast interview. "Muslims were getting their asses kicked in this country when that happened.
“Here’s the thing: the United States has perfected the science of ‘the boogeyman,’†Lee said. "Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics, Nazis, Soviets, Chinese and now it is Muslims. They’re the new boogeymen.â€
Lee then challenged the assertion that radical Islam is the sole inspiration for terrorism.
“The Planned Parenthood shooter, that guy is a terrorist, too,†he said, referencing last week’s attack at one of the organization’s facilities in Colorado Springs, Colo.
“That’s not the first time some Planned Parenthood building has been shot up,†Lee continued. "That’s terrorism.

In 1939, a New York tax investigation determined that Kuhn had embezzled $14,000 from the Bund. The Bund did not seek to have Kuhn prosecuted, operating on the principle (Führerprinzip), that the leader had absolute power. However, New York City’s district attorney prosecuted him in an attempt to cripple the Bund. In the last week of December 1942, led by journalist Dorothy Thompson, fifty leading German-Americans (including baseball icon Babe Ruth) signed a “Christmas Declaration by men and women of German ancestry” condemning Nazism, which appeared in ten major American daily newspapers.
While Kuhn was in prison, his citizenship was canceled on June 1, 1943.[20] Upon his release after 43 months in state prison, Kuhn was re-arrested on June 21, 1943 as an enemy alien and interned by the federal government at a camp in Crystal City, Texas. After the war, Kuhn was interned at Ellis Island and deported to Germany on September 15, 1945.[20] He died on December 14, 1951, in Munich, Germany.

I think that law against Seditious Conspiracy ought to be quite enough to properly investigate and bring charges as necessary against muslims who wish to overthrow the government.
Spike Lee is clearly no student of history. The Nazis - particularly Heinrich Himmler - was quite fond of, and close to, Muslims. Himmler considered Arabs/Muslims to be Aryans and personally established three SS “Handschar” divisions, all of which were blessed by the Mufti of Jerusalem. The founding members of the Muslim Brotherhood (al Banna, Nasser and Sadat) were also founding members of the Nazi party of Egypt, which was just recently re-established.
