Kansas man accused of feeding son to pigs

A Kansas City man is accused of feeding his seven-year-old son to pigs.
Michael A. Jones, 44, was arrested last week after human remains were found in a pig barn behind his home. The bones are believed to be the remains of his son. Neighbours told cops they hadn't seen the boy in some time.
Jones has been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and child abuse.
He's currently being held on $10 million bail.
Police continue to investigate.

Gal I worked with many years ago had a husband whose father came home extremely drunk (as usual) when he was about ten. The story was that he fell in the pig pen and they found only his legs.
For most of his life he accepted that story, but became more and more suspicious that his mother had murdered his father and left him in the pig pen to hide the evidence.
His mother's occasional joke that his father had met up with the ground spade before he fell into the pig pen, along with his father's violent and habitual drunkenness put him on the path to that suspicion as he gained experience in the ways of the planet.
He never pursued it, according to my friend, because it seemed no great loss...
