OMG.. end of the world. /s
Stupid...my daughter has a girl named Isis on her soccer team.
Yep-— Bob Dylan wrote a song “Isis”.... It ain’t the muzzie terrorist acronym either.
I work on an Factory Order entry system called ISIS
I was built way before they used the Acronym.
re: “I’m really quite upset by this,” Ms Taylor told him. “You are actually making my daughter’s name dirty.”
Wow!
“Isis is a name that has been used for thousands of years.. it should not be controversial”.
Well, the swastika has been used by other cultures for good purposes... but that is controversial as well. Sorry, Isis.. the business made their decision.
Thats silly... but is she going to need counseling now? Maybe years of therapy to fix this traumatic incident that will surely leave lasting scares.
I think the snowflake will get along just fine in life without her Nutela jar.
Nutella is mostly oil and for me indigestible
I have intended for years to get a pair of dogs and name one Isis and the other Osiris. Not sure if I can still do tha without being called a terrorist sympathizer or something.
Oh please! We already know how this is going to end in just a matter of days (possibly hours). The company will come out with a lame apology expressing their undying love for this girl and Muslims everywhere.
Apology in 3...2...1.
My daughter has a cat named Isis. I think it was named after an anime character.
Don't tell me the author needs permission from You what she can write about?
After the 9/11 attacks, SNL tread very lightly on the subject of terrorism (rightly so, not wanting to risk a backlash for doing comedy about a very sensitive and tragic subject.) They did, however, do a skit about businesses that were having a hard time because of the unfortunate name of their business. For example, they interviewed a car dealer named Albert Cada, the owner of “Al Cada Lincoln-Mercury.”
Which is it her daughter or niece?
I always think of the bad superheroine TV show.
The dog in “Downton Abbey” was named Isis.
