Donald Trump has a commanding 22-point lead in the latest Economist/YouGov Republican presidential poll, while Ben Carson has slipped to fourth place amid the recent focus on terrorism.
Here are the results of people identifying themselves as likely Republican primary voters:
Donald Trump: 36 percent
Marco Rubio: 14 percent
Ted Cruz: 12 percent
Ben Carson: 10 percent
Jeb Bush: 6 percent
Carly Fiorina, Rand Paul, John Kasich: 4 percent
Chris Christie: 3 percent

Lindsey Graham: 1 percent

I guess his attacks on Carson worked. Brutal but effective.
Poll was taken Nov 19-23. A lot of new Trump bashing since then. It’ll be interesting to see the polls taken the after the Nov. 23rd.
Jeb isn't going anywhere. Look for a Super Tuesday Resurrection.
Looks like Rubio has it sewn up. Not a bad choice.
I see Lindsay Graham’s climbed to 1%. Could be getting ready to make his move.
Gentle Ben Carson has surgically removed himself from consideration as a viable candidate. Expect him to hit the lower end of mid single digits by January.
Carson ended his campaign all on his own.
BEEEEE
YOOOO
TIFUL!
But don’t worry, Rove and Yeb tell us that Trump will fail when the voting begins and we rubes come to our senses and realize we NEED a mature and calm voice of experience as “our candidate”.
Looking foward to breaking that 40% mark!Go Trump!
Well it was just a matter of time before Carson’s campaign self-destructed, but Trump helped to give it a little push. I think he got tired of waiting for the inevitable.
No, Carson’s drop is self inflicted - mostly on foreign policy. It was be HUGE mistake to think of those comments as “brutal but effective” - they were irrelevant.

Trump smelled blood in the water & acted on instinct. The media tried to use “the 90 minute rant” against Trump...but it actually hurt Carson.
It Is!!! 8^)
<><> He beat abortion Dem/Barbie handily.
<><> Abbott took on the lesbian sheriff and said NO to sanctuary cities.
<><> Abbott is a leader who gets things done; he lead 26 AG's in the
successful legal fight to get Obama's heinous amnesty EO's out on hold.
<><> Abbott recently found the funding loophole that could prevent Obama
from forcing taxpayers to finance Syrian refugees squatting in the US.
<><> He warned non-profit groups to cease their refugee activities in his state.
<><> Abbott honored a young Texas student who defended her Christianity w/ an invite to his office.
<><> Texas has an armed state militia.
Texas Gov Greg Abbott would be an outstanding VP choice.
Gov Abbott is permanently disabled, confined
to a wheelchair b/c of a crippling accident.
I don’t subscribe to polls indicating much because they are invalid on their face. But of the small unrepresentative sample that chooses to participate, the results point to Trump.
But there is a more important question here:
Why are Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Rand Paul, John Kasich, Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee and Lindsey Graham still in the race?
Bush has money, connections and a cheater in Rove.
Fiorina has a little money but not enough. She may be getting money from the Bush PACs.
Ditto Paul and Kasich.
Christie likely has NJ money and Bush PAC money behind him.
Huckabee has genuine support among evangelicals. But he should be bowing out at this point unless he’s in it for the continued contributions from these folks.
Graham has no support and no money. He can only stay in the race by Bush support.
The splitter strategy can’t explain all of why these people are still in the race because their support is zero in many cases leaving nothing to split.
So the question remains, why are they still in the race?
Top among the GOPe no-nos was immigration. Et voila---there's been NOT A WORD ABOUT IMMIGRATION. Even Jeb stopped performing acts of love in the Chipotle takeout window. Looks like GOPe money talks......and speaks loudly.
BTW, Trump wasn't at the dictatorial GOPe confab b/c he was not yet a potential candidate. Trump would not have complied.....hes not owned by the RNC or GOPe. People complain that hes switched parties - but thats a definite plus among voters b/c the people know all parties are corrupt.
================================================
My, oh my. Loyal GOPe soldier Cruzs numbers slipped again. Prolly b/c he slapped down Donald for making remarks about immigration that loyal obeisant Cruz considered "unhelpful" to the party.
