Researchers from the Tulane Prevention Research Center found that 60 percent of New Orleans students surveyed utilized salad bars in 12 public schools. But white and other minority students were twice as likely to use salad bars as African-American students.

more watermelon would solve the problem
Interesting that the negative fell to the whites.....while it was the blacks who wouldn’t eat their fruits and vegies.
Oh the huge manatee!
Well.. depending on where I am..
If I’m at the buffet at Pizza Inn I’m not there for the salad.
This ain’t “Salad Inn”...
And if I have an option between fried chicken and salad...
I’m going for the fried chicken.
And I’m white. Most of my life I’ve been white.
Wookie: What the hell am I supposed to do with this?
There are very few black environmental activists. Ergo environmentalism is racist.
Why does this matter at all? Obviously, the kids who are not offered green stuff and other veggies at home are not going to be enthused about eating that stuff at school-shouldn’t the school be spending their time actually teaching kids to read, write, etc instead of spending time documenting food preferences of various ethnic groups?
Everybody knows.⦠that is because icebergs are white⦠Clearly that is racist !
Let me guess White and other minority students are scaring the Blacks away so they want Black Only Salad Bars
A) they are too used to processed foods.
B) They learned not to fill up on salad.
Every time one of these types of stories appears, I have one answer: The black community needs to WAKE UP, GROW UP, and get with the REST of civilized society. we have paid back FAR more than a 40 acres and a mule. I dare venture to say that you could drive your car to the moon with the money we wasted on propping up this dysfunctional group of whiners and losers and slaves to the democrat overseers.
Can’t find the article but there was a study about the racial divide on visiting/eating fast food. The numbers were astonishing. For black youths, an overwhelming majority ate at least one fast food meal on daily basis. I don’t care what Mooch does in the schools, eating habits won’t change at home.
1) Who gives a damn?
(2) How many tax dollars were spent on this study?
(3) Who are the leeches conducting this study?
Eating salad must be as alien as cleaning up after themselves.
Next time you eat at Burger King, notice who self-busses their table on leaving, and who leaves a mess for someone else to clean up.
They want Poke Salad.
Great comments!

Your tax dollars, of course, through the CDC.
