During the November 25 airing of Fox News’ Special Report, French Ambassador to the United States Gerard Araud countered Donald Trump’s emphasis on the importance of an armed citizenry by claiming that armed citizens succeed in defending themselves “only in the movies.â€
Araud was specifically reacting to a tweet sent after the January 7 Charlie Hebdo attacks in which Trump wrote, “Isn’t it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?†Talking Points Memo reported that Araud responded to the tweet by calling Trump a “vulture,†then deleted the tweet after attacking Trump.

Im sure the esteemed ambassador told his close security to ditch their weapons...because they certainly wouldn’t be useful in fending off an attack. Many years ago I was living in Washington, D.C. in a little apartment above a dry cleaners. Late one night I prevented a home invasion by answering the door with a cocked Ballester-Molina .45 in my hand. Nobody was hurt and I never called the police, but I moved to a safer neighborhood a few weeks later. I guess there are thousands of similar incidents every year.
In a couple of hours we will be having our Thanksgiving meal and will surely talk about guns, as in the ones we want or are soon to buy.

France is a product of its history. In WW1 1.4 million military men were killed or 16% of the MEN. Another 4.2 million were wounded. Another 600k just went missing. So almost 75% of that generation, the Warriors, didn’t pass their DNA down. Maybe less assuming the wounded ones recovered enough to raise a family. The weasiles, cowards, unfit had the ability to breed. This caused France to be brutally be occupied in WW2 where again the real MEN fought and died a lost cause. 250K solders and probably 300k civilians that either were resisting or were thought to resist. The 550K-600K fought and died in the resistance, in loosing battles, and the free French army. Again the coward got to pass on their genetics, gain monetary advantage and raised up the French social/political leadership.
The French patriot and warriors are almost extinct. They died. What is our excuse for having the behaviors our country is doing. I’m ashamed because I have no good excuse even though there is no excuse for our behavior over the last 12 years or so.
No offense to anyone but I am a little down on myself for failing my country, my family, my self and my God. It won’t make me feel better to make fun of a country that fought, died but won a war that cost them their future.
